I like being alone.

How do you feel about being alone? I've become quite fond of it lately. I enjoy the peace and quiet of being left to my own devices. In the past, I wanted company most of the time but something has changed over the past year or so. I've noticed recently that my desire to have any form of companionship, either friendly or romantic, has dwindled down dramatically. I enjoy the company of my family, old friends, and I do enjoy meeting new people. But, I'm not feeling a strong desire for it. I could be just as well alone. I'm not sure why. It's a level of comfort I'm still getting accustomed to. The stability is nice. I don't feel like I'm vying for attention from people. Sometimes I would feel that way when trying to spend time with people who were busy all of the time. Now, I guess I just don't give a shit. Come around, invite me over.... or not. It makes no difference to me now. I'm perfectly content by myself. Thanks for reading, have a nice day/night and keep your heads up.

Being alone and liking it is fine... It's not fine when you're alone and you can't stand it. But this doesn't mean you shouldn't socialize with others. Not socializing means that you are not exercising your brain, and you are seriously hurting your ability to speak/share with others.

Sometimes, I feel super social. Most days though, I kinda just enjoy being in a nice secluded bubble. It's nice.

I beg to differ. You can exercise your mind and imagination quite well in a secluded environment. Reading books, painting, drawing, writing, music, exercise(yes it can be a mental discipline), among many other things life has to offer. Or, you can veg out and just watch TV and movies. No one else has to be considered when you're alone. The only person you think of is yourself, and being selfish is OK when you're alone.

i find that the company of others makes it hard for me to think. most people are mentally draining and like to fill silence with endless chatter as if their voice is music.

Yes, but you are not exercising the part of your brain that enables you to speak with others. People that remain secluded and lack social interaction, tend to have difficulties expressing their ideas to others. Again... It's fine to be alone, but it's not fine to completely remove social interactions altogether.

"like to fill silence with endless chatter as if their voice is music."

Can confirm - this is me. Completely incapable of shutting my mouth.

Welcome to adulting level 2. It's also called, "Fuck you, motherfucker, I'm tired of your shit--die a slow death and let the schadenfreude rain down."

roughly translated.

but I feel you man, I was just there. The nature of my work ripped me out of it, though.

I'll most likely not be able to do it again until I have over $500,000.00 in my bank account.

It's good to be with people sometimes and it's good to be alone sometimes. It's nice that you can be at ease being alone. Everyone needs some alone time.

I've always told myself I enjoy being alone. It's actually kinda weird because I do...but I'm also an incredibly social person. I attend a massive high school and everyone in my class knows me very well because I really try to put myself out there. This is mostly because I enjoy interacting with others.

This might seem kinda weird, but I only like being along when my parents are around. I become this insane introvert around my parents and they think I'm some anti-social freak with no life who constantly spends his time in his room.

I feel more comfortable sharing my feelings to complete strangers than I do to my own parents and siblings. Is that not weird? A lot of people even struggle to talk to strangers, yet here I am saying I feel comfortable sharing shit with them.

I'm a fucking weirdo.

I prefer it myself, but I've always been mostly an introvert. You do have to be careful though, if you get too used to the convenience of answering to nobody it can be problematic.

Does it count if you are on social media? It’s not really physical interaction, but there is some human interaction.

Try avoiding all human contact with no social media and no talking in person. Then you are a true, real loner.

I feel ya man. But as @gman666 said, it's crucial to practice communication with other people regularly and surround yourself in such environment in which you don't have to get close with people that much but can still hold conversations on a regular basis. I'm in the same phase myself now and can confirm that what he says is true. I had trouble remembering most basic words when communicating with people, after a long time of being just with myself, and my closest ones. You just turn that part of brain off by doing that to yourself. Consuming any type of media or typing on the internet is of course good, but will not replace that part. It's like listening to a 30 second sample song instead of a full one, or playing a demo version of the game or just watching a video about it. You're not getting complete experience and you're missing a lot of internal and psychological related things with people. For example, what may be recent, or a trend right now. You're not practicing muscles in your brain meant for communication, resulting in poor reflexes. I couldn't believe it too.

I've been an introvert for as long as I can remember.

When I was a child I used to think there was something wrong with me as I never liked hanging out with my fellow classmates too much. Kids would hang out with one another after school everyday and I was fine just doing that once a week.

While I am much more social as an adult I do on occasion go very long periods of time without any human interaction. I don't mind it. I have books and the internet to keep me busy.

@Xdqwerty I like how the game had the middle ages 1000AD, the dark ages 600AD.It was great seeing the post robot apocalypse 2300 like Terminator and enter the matrix. some of mad max and fallout. 2300ad though it could had used more elements instead of just a generic ai uprising. It was a great idea for their judgement day to be 1999 Y2K.

-great additions if they would have made an expansion or dlc in my opinion would be finding out humans trapped in a matrix -

a follower having a cyborg character living tissue over metal endoskelleton like terminator, and the synths from fallout

4After Zeal fell it would have been good to see more ancient eras. Perhaps Sumeria based in one area, then Egypt based in another area, Greek based in another area, then roman based in another area before the middle ages.---------

----between 1000ad and 1999 is a big gap they should have had the age of revolution like the american and French Revolution

then the cowboyy era in one area of map and the Industrial revolution/age of enlightmentthen a ww1 and ww2 and a cold war era
