I found Mario's pizzeria..

I didn't really know which section to put this in but many visits this part and it is Nintendo related.

A few days ago I passed a new pizzeria opened in my town named "Mario" using the original Mario font and colors. Plain and simple.
No kidding it's the real Mario!...lol

I was just thinking is this really legal? Just look at the pictures below..

This seems kinda copywrite infringement to me, or stealing a "brand name".
Will Nintendo send them a DMCA letter? We know they're very stern with that kinda stuff..lol

Posted this mostly for fun for you guys. But I'm also curious what your thoughts are. :)
Is this really allowed?

Sadly the previous owner had really good pizzas, Asian food, fresh ingredients, prices free delivery etc and they made alot of money and obviously didn't need any branding to succeed.

The new owners has taken it in the total other direction. Steep prices and a small menu and what I've heard the quality has gone downhill..Was my favorite place in town.. :(

there's a place like that around here too, except its a sponge bob reference. its krusty krab Pizza, and its got a knock off mr crabs on the side, pretty sure there tring to boost themselves off the episode with the mr crabs pizza. lol. the food there is total trash though,

your right though, thats pretty much as mario lettering as you get. i'm sure thats a lawsuit waiting to happen

that's 100% fake, to make sure u get 100% italian's pizza instead states one, u have to ask like this:

if they weren't using the logo, it wouldn't be, but it is, this way.

Am I the only one expecting some cool Super Mario's Pizzaria! logo popping out with like cardboard cut outs of mario?

Instead it's a fucking cropped squished version on a white box...

i feel like they just searched mario, then got mario. so then they searched mario text and got the best result.

Im fairly certain that it's not, not in Sweden anyway, but I'm not 100% sure.

Hm everyone knows who's Mario is, played it etc.
First time I saw the sign I related to the games.



Could actually be either way. The new owners are newly arrived refugees that haven't really learned neither English nor does speak Swedish very well. Im thinking maybe they haven't really thought this through legally.

I will update this post more, the place just opened and the sign has just been up a few days.
It's actually much bigger inside. It's an old kiosk remodelled into a pizzeria which used to have good standards.

Their menu ain't printed yet..
Also they're renovating, I guess time will tell.

Either way it's a nice fluke to laugh at. :)

Maybe I should try it out as well. :)

It really didn't fit any category on the forum, where I posted it as a thread at first.
Although some people are just plain rude.
That's the missing comments.

One guy had a great idea though, that my post would suit more as a blog post.
I agreed, still wondering if this place was legal, as I'm just curious.

Some time after that a friendly mod remade this into a blog post instead. Was a really great idea, since I wasn't very familiar with the blog section, thanks for introducing me to the platform and that you let this live on as much as my curiosity about the place. :)

Wow what a wall of text, sorry guys I'm new to the blog. I didn't know that you couldn't write it in sections, making it look like a wall. Lesson learned, will make it smaller. :)
