Portuguese Leftist used the Portuguese flag as table towel

There are many things wrong with my country's politics but one that rose up recently is that the Euro-Deputy Marisa Matias (from the Portuguese Left/Esquerda) was actually proud to share the image below...

I don't know what the fuck was wrong with her but this is completely insulting, disrespectful and offensive to the Portuguese flag and to the Portuguese people. The flag is part of our heritage, our nationality, part of what makes us Portuguese and it's our duty to cherish and respect it not treat it like some cheap shit that will go fine as a table towel.

COME ON!

This is on the same level as burning a flag (Antifas in US keep on burning USA flags even though they were born in America -- fucking morons).

Yes its very distasteful, like many uses of the flag, but if you go that way ... your going to be complaining every time there is a football game.

As for the heritage of the flag, the republican flag, is not that old and we had nicer looking flags before.

I actually want to know more about his tattoo on the left side.
This image has so many interesting features to it

@migles Wrong. In general though being a leftist goes to show they don't respect or care very much.

*ahem* no control boarders *ahem*

So what?
In Germany have no national pride, no national identity whatsoever.
No loyalty to our nation or its history.
We are doing just fine.
I could burn the German flag out in the open and no one would even care.

@KingpinSlim Seeing how Germany is, that's no surprise.

Germany still has ruined pride from WWII so that's not surprising, lol.

True.
Tell me about it.
My grandfather was a holocaust-survivor.
I wouldn't say "pride".
Not in my case.

Huh, eating your culture's food on a flag of your country? Doesnt sound insulting to me, although, if you find it disrespectful thats your right.

I think it depends on what it was made for. Lets say you bought a USA/Portuguese flag table cloth, then thats fine because it was made to be a table cloth and not an actual flag. But lets say you take an actual flag and use as a table cloth or any other demeaning thing, IMO that would be wrong.
