What sucks about this scene

So, I've mostly kept silent about it until now but due to the recent hacks I will say that this scene is really cringey, due to a group of edgy kids (among them there's even a respected developer) who keep doing things like this to me (hence the Luma3DS name change, actually).
I'll let these images speak for themselves (this was before the hacks actually took place): http://imgur.com/a/aweTG

Nah people have already have his dox when he put that RAT in that Nintendo stuff.

@Aurora Wright you are a person who deserves my respect, because anyone else would have lost their head with these childish attitudes. I am very happy to see that you have not been disturbed by this childish conduct. Thank you for developing Luma, we're on your side. We will not fall on the dark side gives strength.

Geez. This blog blew up. First off. I'm sorry you got hacked. Kek, I'm in the same possible boat. Its a horrible thing to do. I do have ties with Rei as I have stated before. However I carry no ties to the hack. Didn't even know it was a thing. Rei didn't either until afterwards. He just told me. But know that the one who we should be focusing on is the "hacker" not Rei. As all was stated. He just knew about it and had no involvement in the decisions made by the hacker. Anyways the whole CFW 'war' is dumb. Aurora forked because she thought she could improve RN. Same reason I did. It should be about the choices we make, and our options. We shouldn't be making drama over something we devs do out of passion. Choice is king in this battle. The more choice and variety, the better. So instead of taking it our on Rei. Thank him for the original Luma base code, and the birth of a new option. Not bashing him for having ties to someone who wronged Aurora.

The more choice and variety, the better.

Not in this case. More choices mean more confusion for newbies and higher risk of bricking. One superior, ultimate option is better. Then again, open source is about the freedom to fork and improve projects.

@WiiUBricker Noobs are just going to stick to Luma3DS, like they stuck to RXTools. Every single guide only covers installing Luma3DS.
But we shouldn't limit CFWs just to protect noobs. Not everyone wants to use the same project.

@CrimsonMaple I agree up until the last line. We have thanked him in the past. Countless times. The real divide came when he started to privately tell aurora that her code was "spaghetti code." I understand some people like the simplified CFW. It's nice. BUT. That should NEVER. EVER. Mean that people should feel demonized for adding a couple hundred milliseconds to boot time. When Aurora eventually removed Rei from the code, she did so legally. Rei then got angry. The lengths he went to were unreasonable. While I do support all forks of CFW, hell. I've even tried the one you are contributing to @CrimsonMaple. Quite nice. That's all. While I would love to be on good terms with @Reisyukaku, emotions are rampant. I, very quickly, am becoming an old man. Working 30+ hours on top of school is murdering me. Makes me realize that petty grievances are worthless.

The chat from Nick really underlines this whole situation. Very unfortunate. The scene should be people being passionate about their projects and striving to make their code better. I would love to see @Reisyukaku commit something new once in a while. That... hasn't happened. I would love to see corbenik and cakes running alongside Luma, but, the development has halted. That's fine. Everyone has a life outside of here.

Things here should never affect your personal life in a negative light.

Life is criminally short. Don't waste your beautiful time on this earth by trashing other people. Become something people aspire to be.

If you want to talk to me one on one. My DMs are open on twitter.

Goodnight GBAtemp.

@WiiUBricker Impossible. There can't be a CFW "to rule them all". Lets compare Corbenik and Luma. Luma is shown as the "noob-proof" one, ideal for noobs to use. However, Corbenik works in a completely different way, allowing control over every patch. Luma sacrifices control for ease of use and ease of setup (essentially plug&play), whereas Corbenik needs more setup, but allows much more control. It's basically impossible to make "the master CFW" because there will always be disadvantages and advantages to each approach to the matter.

I'm not claiming that Luma suits the needs of everyone. But claiming that such a "perfect" CFW is impossible is foolish.

@WiiUBricker It is not foolish. It is a fact. There is no way to make it be the right CFW for everyone. Luma isn't for all, Corbenik isn't for all, etc. It is literally impossible to build a CFW that doesn't favour one thing over the other, and adding too much stuff has its disadvantages, too. Tradeoffs must be made.
Those who want a minimalistic CFW might prefer SaltFW over Luma, for instance, for it removes everything they might not need, whereas I wouldn't use Salt at all, given that I want control over everything.

@WiiUBricker
For my daily use, I use Corbenik (Skeith) and I also use a private CFW. From there I have several CFWs for testing purposes, such as CakesFW and ReiNAND. I also have Luma3DS on my CTRNAND for extra protection.

A lot of devs dropped from the scene, but they never stopped working on their projects. You can blame the drama in the CFW section driving a lot of devs out of our site

@OctopusRift, I completely agree. Petty arguments aren't worth the energy. Rei is a little over the top with his opinion on Luma.
@WiiUBricker, most cfw are "noob safe* at this point. One superior option isn't the same for everyone lol. Thus why choice is key.

@WiiUBricker that's the point, there is no such as a perfect CFW for everyone. This includes Luma3DS.
Yes, Luma3DS has more than earned it's spot, but that doesn't mean it's for everyone. I prefer more control over my system, which is why I use Corbenik.

@Aurora Wright We love you and Luma3DS. Ignore these clowns.

Hope they can be prosecuted under CFAA or something and end up in prison for 35 years or something.

@pixelmasher haha as if. People that do this rarely get anything from it. I know tons of people that have doxxed others, people have reported it and nothing has been done. It's even less for just harassment.
