Doubt anyone noticed, but I left earlyish thursday to go attend a funeral in a town about 4 hours away where a good chunk of my family lives (on my mom's side). Didn't get back till recently.
Not much to say. It was funeraly. My great grandma passed away at the age of 91. She lived a loong and interesting life. Unfortunately near the end of her life she went a little crazy, and my grandma's sister (whom I honestly didn't remember) took advantage of the situation to basically recieve everything my great grandma owned. So there was a clear split between my grandma's family and her sister's family.
I don't think it was the actual inheritence thing that bothered my grandma so much as the fact her sister basically butchered and mutilated my great grandma's property... At her funeral everyone would talk about her garden and stuff because it was awesome and gigantic. Whelp that got ripped out and replaced with fenced off shitfields for a few animals. It was...really disgusting to see.
On the flipside, i'm considering moving out there. Property is dirt cheap, since it's essentially the middle of nowhere and a majority is farmland. Looking around I was seeing 5-10 acres of land+house for sub 75,000. That's insane. Around here you're lucky to get 2 acres for anything less than 400k.
I hate people, so it's pretty much perfect. All I really have to do is find a place where internet wont suck ass and cost me a fortune. That would kinda defeat the purpose of cheap land.
I'd LOVE to live out there, away from people. No more dealing with idiots. Some things are a little more of a pain, like shopping, but that's about it.
Once I get the money to move out there i'm hoping to get a 2-3 acre piece of land with a nice house for around 50k~. My grandma knows everyone out there, so I could have a great job the day I get there. No problems there (hell I could work for her and my aunt if I wanted).
