I'm back from a two week hiatus after my laptop suddenly started having problems.
I've had the laptop for two years now without much issue and I've grown accustom to having a somewhat portable computer on hand almost constantly.
So as Vista seemed to lock up for good and my ram memory tests resulted in sudden shut downs I ended up offline for awhile as I tried to make time in my unorganized schedule to diagnose the darn thing.
Found a ram chip half way in which might explain some game speed troubles but it seems the sudden shut downs were due to a long flat piece of lint that built up over time.
Sure thats not uncommon but after removing it all my problems dissapeared completely.
Was getting ready to backup and move to Windows 7 (might still do that) but seems I dont have to bother right away.
Had troubles with my limited tools anyway.
They do say that even the weirdest problems in comps are almost 80% or close just dust build up covering a majority of it.
Still, I was unable to find this lint till I noticed a piece and pulled it out.
Aircan didn't do much, but its funny how that caused me so much trouble all this time.
Infact the laptop is running a bit better now too.
....
Still hate Vista though....
it mocks me.
Well, its good to be back and with zero costs needed.
Now to hurry up and try to find a way to contribute to the Weekly Wave like I meant to before everything messed up on me.
(Google Wave note: Does not work that well in Wii Opera browser, the extended memory version of the PSP browser or anything that doesn't run JAVA stuff smoothly. I suggest nothing but firefox.... still need to figure out how that thing works though heh.)
P.S. Remind self to attempt learning RUBY coding language again. http://www.ruby-lang.org/en/
Also to catch up on Wario Ware D.I.Y. and remaster my games I made on the Japanese version.
Also host em online etc.
