Don't think I'm against every forms of copyrights, though. What is infuriating, IMO, is the way it is sometimes over-applied. If your software, in the emulators' case, doesn't use any of the source code from the emulated device, you should be allowed to legally use the said emulators with copies/backups of your legally owned games. I understand that piracy on a large scale could hurt some entities, but I don't think the vast majority of users would go that way, especially for the Switch (clearly a family-oriented platform, people understanding and willing to put the necessary time and efforts to be able to pirate their games is surely averaging 5% of the worldwide users at most). If you're against piracy, just target the website sharing dumped games. Or better: just sell them on your own marketplace or offer a solid and profitable alternative (Nintendo would surely make a crazy amount of money if they were offering their own "Yuzu" and added an official eShop to it... In the actual situation, nobody wins, as Nintendo likely won't make more money from Yuzu's users and people are deprived from a way to enhance their experience with Nintendo's games). The guys are running the Switch on an Android SoC (for reminder, it's a custom version of a 2015 SoC), just imagine for a split second if they were offering an app on smartphones' marketplaces... Missed opportunity, and they wouldn't have to deal with hardware themselves (goodbye JoyCon drift). Just give a try to Dolphin on a Samsung S24U through the DeX app and using a compatible controller, and you'll understand the wasted potential. For illustration: In the end, it seems we always come back on the "Nintendon't" topic. 😅
