personally as far as handheld PCs go i think linux/steamos edges the competition, at least as far as the UI goes, all the other handhelds use windows and use a barely functional "quick access" menu, the steamos one isn't perfect but it's much better than the horror stories i've heard of the stuff like what's on the asus rog ally and msi claw. i know windows has big picture mode but it has to run on top of normal windows explorer which isn't ideal, and the quick access menu doesn't have everything like screen refresh rate options
you don't have easy access to games with anticheat protections but i feel like complaining about that is moot if you're using a handheld device that likely won't have 100% access internet at all times

I read that the LeGo is the one that trumps the others.
But I don't have any, I just search.

Legion Go for specs/repairability, Steam Deck for ease of use. A modded Switch Lite is the comfiest though, I find all other handhelds too large for my taste.

I really wanted it to be the Legion Go for me, it checked so many of my boxes, but I find it flat out uncomfortable and it ends up hurting my hands after a while. Even went as far as 3D printing the comfort grips. I am still exploring to figure out what my answer is. Currently the most comfortable to me is an ROG Ally, but the XGM proprietary port pisses me off. Just received an AOKZOE A1 Pro that I am giving a go, not sure what I think yet on it. My dream handheld would be something 7 or 8 inches with the comfort of the Ally, 32GB or more memory, oculink port, at least one touchpad, and then at least one USB-C port.
