How likely do you think it is that both Breath of the Wild and this new Mario game will be launch titles? I know we had heard Mario would be a launch title, but now with it seeming that BotW will be a launch title, I start to doubt Mario would also be a launch title. On the one hand, i'd absolutely buy them both at the same time, on the other, I can see how a lot of consumers might only feel the desire to buy one at launch cutting into the overall profits Nintendo might receive from the games if they let them have some breathing room between releases. Still I'd love to see it as a launch title.

They can stagger the releases but have them both in the launch window. That way the console still receives the benefit of having both games around launch time while the games may be less likely to cannibalize sales.

That said, the Nintendo Direct is just a couple days away. hang tight folks, the end of (some of the) speculation is nigh.
