So it was revealed we can transfer saves and purchases from Wii to Wii U.

I have no idea how this would've been handled in the past, but what would happen to soft modded Wii users?

I would assume restore to virgin console, but couldn't that erase saves or purchases?

And if we just ignore this and transfer soft modded to Wii U, what about WADs that we've installed?

I'm just wondering so I can better prepare myself.

wiiu is a new console, why would you want to virginize your older console if a new one comes out?

you can just redownload the games you bought from the nintendo store on your account. No softmodding involved.
In order to install any wads on the Wiiu, it first has to be hacked, dude.

well id assume new system udpate first like the 3DS did

will all be account bassed and just transfer data

so if you account doesnt have purchases the data is useless

It should be a shop account transfer meaning it transfers the information of the games you have purchased on the store.
I hope they give the games an update to support the game pad because I would love to play world of goo with a touch screen.
