Hi, I recently found my old PSX model SCPH-9002 with modchip. I tried burning ISS Pro Evolution 2 with imgburn and during the verify process it gave me something like LBA misconception error. Tried the game anyway and it does not work so I decided to burn another one and this time the entire process gave me no error whatsoever. Tried the game on my PSX and it does not work too. To see if maybe the modchip didn't work I found an old burned disc, was pretty scratched too, and that worked so the modchip is not the problem.
Now I don't know what the problem is. To burn the discs I'm using a LiteOn iHAS-124B, it's the same that I use to burn XGD3 360 games. Could it be that the modified firmware is causing problem? Or are the discs the problem? I'm using Verbatim with MID: 97m17s06f (Moser Baer India) and the minimum supported speed is 16x with max 52x. I have no Idea if they are good or not.
Now I don't have anymore CD-R so I need to buy others. There is a preferred brand with a specific MID? For the Xbox 360 for example you needed Verbatim with MID MKM-003. There is something specific like that for the PS1? Or like I said before could it be that because the CD burner has a modified firmware it can cause problems with burning regular disc?
I hope you can help me.
