That topic was just locked. This is not an addition to the off-topic argument that was taking place in the thread. This is a third explanation to the study. I think it's worth reading. I'm locking this topic though since the original post was locked. If a mod thinks it's okay, they can unlock this one.

Here's what I think could've happened, but first a few notes before that...
Imagine yourself as a kid entering adolescence, and you find a softcore porn image, maybe not even nude. You'd probably get "excited" pretty quickly. Ask yourself, if you saw the image today, would you get aroused just as quickly?
Anyway, stereotypically (and we know stereotypes are bad blah but they hold truth to them so I'm using them) the people most against homosexuality/are homophobic are also a member of some sort of religion (because they are commanded/instructed to).
Having grown up in such an environment myself (and my environment can be considered very liberal regardless by religious standards), I can tell you that your sexuality gets repressed to a certain degree. I'm sure other anecdotal evidence can support this as well. As such, sex becomes more taboo.
And even secular families generally choose not to show pornographic content to their children at a young ago.
So as a young adult, you, regardless of your religious status, would get aroused to a "mild" pornographic image, yet the same image would do little for you today.
So my point is basically this:
I think most of them (the subject who declared themselves as homophobic) are getting aroused to the idea of sexuality and having sex (even though it's gay sex, it still bears a semblance to straight sex), rather than to the actual content itself, and there isn't a way to distinguish between the two causes of arousal with a computer, because they are essentially the same. I'm sure the article holds some truth for a minority percentage of the subjects regarding the causation between homosexuality and homophobia, but to declare that it is the primary purport is just bullying."
Additionally, what I don't like about the article is that is doesn't state a percentage of men stimulated by the gay porn, just says majority.
