Hi, i've recently made the switch to SXOS..
And the only way i've found to properly install NSP/XCI files is by using the SX Installer in the menu with my Harddrive attached to my dock.. but it's just a hassle..
on other CFW that i've used i was able to do network installs, use nsusbloader and Goldleaf aswell as Awoo Installer.. however i'm coming across alot of issues using those..
i'm using FAT32 so dropping the games onto my SD Card isn't an option.. and sending the games to my Micro SD using FTP (Filezilla) takes a ridiculous amount of time.

When i try to use NSUSBLoader with Goldleaf i get an error on Goldleaf asking me to connect my USB-C cable.. (Even though it's already connected)
I've tried using multiple usb ports, multiple different USB cables and i've had no luck.. The "USB" section on NSUSBLoader is also Blanked out.

When i try to use NSUSBLoader with OG Tinfoil and do a USB Install nothing happens at all and Tinfoil just freezes

I've also tried to use SX Server and input all the information into File Browser within the SX Installer/Tinfoil and none of my games show up even with all the right information..
i've tried both my SX Installer/Tinfoil app and my other h*****p app that i have and they both don't let me install games via my network.

Awoo Installer simply just crashes upon booting.. so no luck there..

Am i doing something wrong?
There seems to be alot of issues with trying to install games..

Used to swear by SX Installer until it's been giving me issues with a lot of games on the latest version. When that happens, I use Goldleaf without issues.

PC tool I use is Quark, however. (used to be Goldtree iirc). It's the 'default' PC-side tool when it comes to Goldleaf and USB installation. Read up on Quark at Goldleafs github.

It's a hassle to use flash drive to install games from it? How?
Installing games via USB flash drive is the best thing in sxos, even on portable mode using adapter to connect my flash drive.

Watched a tutorial and i got Goldleaf working with my switch now
it connects properly and all, however when i downloaded the latest Quark
it gives me the error: A JNI error has occured, please check your installation and try again, a java exception has occured.
so i downloaded the one below it and it seemed to work... however when i go to Remote PC (via USB) on Goldleaf after opening Quark it just freezes my Goldleaf..

I have to first transfer the files to the harddrive, plug the harddrive in, change hdmi channels to the Switch, open up SX Installer, grab my pro controller and connect it so i can navigate to the SX Installer page and then i can install the game..
with NSUSBLoader, i simply can do it all while laying down..
- connect usb to switch
- open goldleaf
- install game

how do you do it portably? cause that seems super convenient..
USB-C to USB adapter id say?

Ah, some of your steps are really...

"change hdmi channels to the Switch, open up SX Installer, grab my pro controller and connect it"
Why even put hdmi and turn on pro controller as steps?
In your steps you forgot several important steps, like open a PC and use mouse to navagate to use that program
I don't know, but i think you are overreacting about the steps
Both methods are easy in my openion.

And yes, to use flash drive in portable mode you need USB-C to USB adapter, or use one of those muti head flash drives that have both USB and USB-C

eh, i mean.. i don't even have to leave my couch/bed to install a game if i use NSUSBLoader/Goldleaf is what i mean...
also i added those steps because i barely even use Docked mode so it saves me the hassle of grabbing my pro controller if i install using my PC instead of a harddrive connected to the dock.

The USB to USB-C idea sounds pretty good honestly especially if i don't use my dock constantly
