Solo/village ranks are like an intro to the game, where online/multiplayer is where the majority of people who continue playing spend hundreds of hours. Single player mode (village) is like %30 of what's available in terms of what monsters you can fight and what gear you can craft. MP mode scales with the number of players involved, but I think it is super boring and ridiculously drawn out to do single player. With MP, it's a lot faster, more exciting, and you can pop in and pop out doing 3 hunts in the time it takes you to do 1 solo. Personally, I think it isn't fun to do MP content solo, but some people might? I see people saying that "you can", but how many of them are actually doing it, and to what extent? The question is... how much do you want to enjoy it? If you want to try it out casually--don't buy it. Maybe if you could *demo* it () you could get 15-20 hours of enjoyment from it. If you bought an unbanned switch for the game, you might possibly never need another game again. Honestly, between MHGU and MH:Rise, an unbanned switch would be worth the purchase. Bonus if you can find an unpatched one, hack it, and not get yourself banned... again. To really evaluate this kind of claim, we'd need to see how many hours you have and what kind of gear you've got. MP scales, and the monster's base HP is very high even in solo mode. It was built around the idea that multiple people were going to stun a monster, debuff a monster, ride a monster, and all kinds of other antics--leading to relatively faster completion of the quest, and in a more exciting kind of experience. What exactly makes it "easier" to play solo hub? Are you pairing up with people who cart when you do MP?
I second that, they are good. I always get the steak and add mushrooms to it also. But yea been awhile since had myself. I used to go there every morn for coffee and breakfast, meet with my work crew, but we all stop going, too expensive.
