I have like 3 email accounts that i use, they all are under the 500 mark (inbox mails), i unsubscribed from all the sites i don't care about, though sometimes they'll still send some useless shit even after doing that. batch deleting emails from each sender/email is much efficient than deleting one by one etc.
I clear the junk folder every 2-3 weeks before it does it automatically, the reason why i'm bothering with the junk folder is sometimes emails from other people go straight there instead of going to the inbox, and i'd certainly miss those emails if i don't check it.. as for spam emails that're there, from the title alone i'd know if it's spam or not, easily deleted too..
