How did 3ds get bricked? And can I unbrick a bricked 3DS?​

My 3ds is fine, I'm asking what to avoid and what files I need to back up to save it. (sorry I'm Vietnamese, I don't know much about English)​

So... how exactly is it bricked? If you see a blue screen with "BOOTROM 8046" on it, you can always recover it with ntrboot (but you need a flashcard flashed with it).

People throw around the word "bricked" so much these days that it is practically meaningless.

Things can go wrong with a 3DS. Usually they can be fixed. Sometimes they can't. Most of the time you will be posting on a message board and desperately hoping that someone has some idea about what you are talking about.

An ntrboot flashcart can sometimes be used to recover a 3DS that is otherwise unrecoverable. Using an ntrboot flashcart is discussed in https://3ds.hacks.guide/ntrboot .
