I'm looking for a touch screen laptop/notebook one that has touch capabilities. It will be mostly used for work and school not needed for gaming I got a desktop for that. The pen that comes with surface is nice but not necessary. I mostly want something that can detach and turn into a tablet or fold to use like a tablet.

Any good alternatives out there on the market now?

I have actually been looking at the Lenovo Yoga 13 IdeaPad didn't know if there was anything else better. I am considering the Lenovo Yoga 13 IdeaPad for sure.

Depends what you are into but I would never ever touch anything with windows RT on it (neither chrome OS for the same reason ;)) If you really want a tablet get a Ipad or a Nexus 10 an you can get a keyboard. If you want a x86 laptop with touchscreen capabilities and you are on tight budget get a asus vivobook with intel i3 they are around 500$. If i would need a computer thats what i would buy.
