First time you got drunk or notable occasion from your early days of drinking, stories thereof.

Once more with the titles that describe what we are after.
What was your first time being drunk like or if it was just a matter of drinking as a kid, falling asleep and waking up with a sore head then we are also doing notable early drinking stories wherein something more amusing happened.

Better go first. First actual drink was probably about 5 when I had a sip of my dad's beer when on holiday. Tasted awful and that was that. Had beer, spirits and wine in various sauces, cakes and glazes before that and since but most of the alcohol is burned off in those so that does not count.
Other than the odd shandy before then I took up drinking in earnest around 14 (being in the UK 18 is the time you can buy as much as you have money for of any percentage you like, and that happens in corner shops and supermarkets, at the time most did not care either or there was one that did not care or there was a junkie you could "keep the change" to. Equally if you are with an adult a beer or wine or maybe cider (something not spirits basically) can be had with a meal in a restaurant). Mostly just the odd beer, cider (all cider is alcoholic in the UK unless otherwise stated -- no alcohol means you have fizzy apple juice, or maybe pear juice) or whatever was around, in the evenings with friends, or if we decided to skip a lesson (who needs PE and the drama from that when there is GTA and beer?) and play some games we might have a beer as well). School trips, various nights and whatever else we usually managed to find something more and bring that along to share.
First was boring. 15, going on 16. Being buzzed was nothing new but straight drunk took more funds than most of us would be able to muster. Still it was probably around Christmas or New Year's day so we had a lot more to go around. Very wobbly, could not skateboard as well as when sober so we went back to a mate's house and watched a video/played some computer games.
Various other times alone (somehow ended up with some bottles of Bacardi rum and thought I would see how much I could do in a night, said bottles I would give to a younger sibling and that ended up with someone's stomach being pumped) and with others (late night round someone's house, or maybe starting in a field/on a park).

Most interesting from the early days. 17 going on 18 so friends already had driving tests and tickets to buy stuff with it. Parents away on holiday and we all went to mine (nothing unusual -- most of us probably only returned to our houses on Fridays and Saturdays with others or to get changed at some point before doing it all again the next night). Loaded up the fridge big style (courtesy of the odd job, birthday and whatever we had money worth speaking of at this point) and proceeded to get sloshed. I spewed big style (first and only time) so ended up doing washing at 3am while still very drunk and my friends buggered off. Haven't really been drunk since, and don't actually drink really (no objection, just does nothing for me and makes for a cheap night out), did also mean the only booze I had during university was that which I had for Guinness steak (not buying booze and skipping nights out meant I could afford things like nice steak on occasion).
Or yes I am a terrifically boring bastard when all is said and done.

Not drunk, but when I was like 6 I drank 3 or 4 small red bull cans in a row.

You can imagine how hyperactive I ended up after that lmao

I've never been drunk yet, but I've noticed drinking just makes me sleepier and sleepier, so even if I drink enough I might just fall asleep before doing anything noteworthy.

Nothing terribly amazing.

I was 14 at the time, it was not the first time I had alcohol in my system, but it was the first time it was not fun.

Basically had a few beers (I think 5?) and lost track of events, the only thing I remember was getting sick, and sleeping in the bathtub when I was trying to clean up the mess I made with my vomit.

The next day I was mostly fine, but didn't remember most of the evening, but everyone else sure seemed to remember what I did it, which was mostly slurry speech and falling asleep in the living room, before getting up and getting sick in the bathroom.

After that experience I was horribly grossed out by the smell of beer, but many years later it's fine.


Nowadays, 5 beers, the amount that made me lose it, is barely enough to get me started, so I prefer hard liquor if I really want to be "drunk", because otherwise it takes me a lot of drinks and relatively fast ingestion to actually feel anything.

I'm sure, I've shared this story before, but here it goes again:
In 2012 on new year's eve I got drunk and I went outside my condo to tell random girls that the were pretty.

When I was a child, I discovered a thing called Rompope which is nothing but plain old Eggnog.
It was around 20% alcohol back then, and sometimes I'd ask my mum for some shots.
What mum used to do instead, was pouring eggnog on a regular milkshake glass, and I'd drink all the eggnog afterwards. I was probably 8-10 years old.
One of those occasions, I was playing Super Mario World, and I got drunk with Eggnog. I spent 4 hours trying to beat Castle #1 because I couldn't make Mario jump.

I got drunk a few times when going out with friends. I laugh out of everything.

Kids, don't do it. It's stupid, and I got no merry memories to share out of those times, except the overpriced beverages I bought and the financial void they left.
Get junk food instead. At least you feed yourself, have a drink, an overly sweet dessert, and you get to have diarrhea sometimes.

e: forgot to mention - we drank it until we vomited. Then drank more. Until we vomited again.

Well, it was my 16th Birthday and i was at a local Bar, until 23:00 we only drank beer and after that we chilled in the park as we were out of money, then another buddy came around after the others left and we went back to the bar, there he spend me a drink, then another, until i drank around 55€ of Cuba Libre. Then about 5AM we went to his Appartment as i didnt want to go drunk to my parents. On the way to him, a Police officer shouted out of his car that we shouldnt drive on our bycicles if we were drunk. Well, we walked for around 10 Meters and then got back on our bycicles. After we arrived i was absolutely dead. there i sat, absolutely destroyed. I then vomitted into his trash can. Then i Fall Asleep. End of Story. Also somebody pissed in my Tobacco Bag.

First time I got truly out of it was at a little get-together after we finished exams in Uni.

We played a drinking game on some guy's mobile phone, and I don't really remember much after that, drank like 2/3 a bottle of Vodka by myself.

Funny thing is, the next morning, I had a TON of texts and messages on my mobile asking me if I'd found my keys... They were in my pocket, so I had no idea why everyone was asking. Turns out the only reason I didn't go home that night was because I didn't know where my keys were....

I was 12, never before even a sip of booze. Some guys (that later became friends) invited me to the house of the leader. there were about 14 people, a good gang. I had a glass of a very sinister beverage that was called "charanda". Yeah, it`s as bad as it sounds, and there you have it. I was drunk with a single glass, but after that, day after day I visited those guys and before I knew it, I was a great charanda drinker. I was a drunk kid for about year and a half, tried many, many different drinks over the weeks, months, etc.

Then I guess I grew up mentally and stopped drinking, got away from that band and now, more than 20 years later, I drink just from time to time, very rarely. There are some good things in growing up too fast, it`s amazing what you learn, but also the price is high. Ups and downs. The majority of that band are still drunken guys, with no objectives in life. That`s the bad way.

The bottom line is, always be very careful. Never let alcohol, drugs or whatever you do, overcome your mind. A strong and trained mind can understand and control all of those things. Of course, the best option is to stay away. In my case I only consume alcohol and cigarettes rarely, very rarely, but never used drugs. Not even once. Just not interested.

Be wary, be wise and have fun but don`t shit on all the good things that you are.
