I'd have to greatly agree with Guild's comments on Pokemon, Chrono Trigger, FF4 and Dragon Quest. I'd have to agree with TWEWY being number 1. It seems like you either absolutely love TWEWY or you are like "Meh" as Guild is with it. I think TWEWY will always have a place in my heart because of the interesting plot, battle system, and the music. There's alot of different aspects I loved. One would probably have to be that it's one of the only J-RPGs that takes place in present time and isn't like FF where it's like "We have machines that can destroy entire countries but we still ride horses, isn't our backwards way of advancement interesting!?". I'd also have to say that Guild doesn't seem like the JRPG fan (no offense to you Guild). He just doesn't seem to enjoy how some things are repetitive. I see in a lot of your JRPG reviews, Guild, that you always note the repetitiveness of the games. I mean sure, games like 358/2 were overly repetitive, but JRPGs in general have a natural amount of repetition to them anyways. All I'm saying is that its something you get used to. Another thing to note is (and I'm not trying to be racist here) Japanese people are alot more patient compared to Americans. If you remember in Final Fantasy Dissidia they said that the tutorial in the Japanese version was over an hour long, and they had to shorten it to make it less of a snooze fest for us. (There's probably multiple spelling or grammar mistakes here, I'm using IE 6...no spell check ftl T.T)
I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
