You need to have the AR plugged in and the Guest OS shut off. You have to add the AR device to the USB filter. You add the USB device to the USB filter from Guest OS settings.I have windows 10 64bit 4 gigs of RAM I have virtualbox from the link you gave me with the ext pack installed and I have winxp as a Guest OS.
but the unknown device wont show up in the usb connections.
Now goto the USB settings on the VM of Windows XP.
Left click on the add usb device icon (that is the one with the green plus sign) and pick the unknown device we saw earlier.
In your case it should be listed as Datel DSi AR HW Prog [0100].
If you don't have the CD anymore, you will need to download the code manager program from the guest os.

Having a 32bit Windows OS limits you to 2GB of RAM. And you can't install most XP drivers on a windows 10 32bit system. What does it being 32-bit have to do with anything? I'm on 64-Bit windows 10 and the code manager works fine.
And people have to resort to using a VM when the 64bit windows won't use the 64bit drivers for whatever reason.
