Sorry, new to this forum and forums in general so sorry if i didnt post this in the proper area, but I recently started playing a rom hack of pokemon heart gold on the twilight++ emulator, and a specific cheat causes the game to crash, while the same cheat works on the not hacked version of the game, is there a way to get cheats to work on rom hacks?
cheats only for for game there made for due to the fact they edit memory rom hacks change how a game work changing the memory layout some cheats might still work others will need to be remade for the rom hacks new memory layout
edit: this is a simple explanation if you want more detail i am willing to attempt to explain but there are far better resources out there made by the real pros
