Hello dear GBAtemp community,
as the title says, I got a problem loading custom forwarders within usb loader gx.

I used to have a simple wii setup with only the necessary IOS. This is the sysCheck of my past setup:

Now I remodded my wii with modmii and got the following setup:

I tried to reinstall the channels, tried them as nano emu channel but non of them were able to launcht within usb loader gx. When I launch them from HBC or the original Wii interface everything works fine, only when Iaunch them from usb loader gx, I get a back screen and my wii remote disconnects.

I even tried my old sdcart backup...which gives me a blackscreen too.
I tried to set the channel loader IOS to 250, which made no difference. I searched forums and could only find the solution to edit the IOS used, which doesnt fix my problem.
I have the latest version of the HBC installed, 1.1.2 IOS58 v24.32.

What am I missing?

Try installing d2x v10 beta53 base 38 to slot 248 (if that doesn't work try base 56), then select this slot within GX to load these channels. To get this via modmii, start modmii classic, from the main menu enter "A" for advanced downloads, then "beta", then choose the v10 beta53-alt (when all is said and done you will want to restore this to default v10 beta52), then enter "24938" and follow the prompts to change the slot number to 248. When you're back in the advanced downloads menu enter "D" and "Y" to download. Then install as per usual.

Also make sure you're running the latest version of GX from oscwii.org (ModMii is currently a couple versions behind, will get fixed when ModMii gets updated next). A GX update should be coming in the next few weeks or so which may or may not contain changes that could impact this issue.

@blackb0x not sure if you saw this, but it seems like beta52 channel loading issue might not be restricted to RC24 channels only. That being said I thought you said that beta52 could load RC24 channels fine via GX but just not receive updates; so maybe it's an unrelated issue as the OP is experiencing a blackscreen.

Thanks a lot for your fast response. I tried that with ModMii, without any luck. I tried to do the same through d2x cIOS Installer with base38 and base56, no luck either.
I also tried to install the standart 3 IOS again through the d2x cIOS Installer which made no difference.

I just now realized that my old setup had an other entry:

old
IOS249[56] (rev 21010, Info: d2x-v10beta53-alt): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0

new with modmii
IOS249[57] (rev 65535, Info: d2x-v10beta52): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0

Might this cause the problem?

Regards

It's broken in the current release and fixed in the next one.

I tried to use the enhanced version but unfortunately this didn't solve the problem. So I will wait for the next update I guess. At least I'm able to launch the channels through the HBC :)

PS: Because both of you are in this thread, I want to use the opportunity to thank you both for the great work you are doing. You guys are real gods <3

I'm having the same problem. But when starting the channels, it returns to the usb loader gx or to the hbc.

It returns after you launch the installed forwarder wad channels of emulators etc.? Do you have their files stored on the apps folder? Otherwise the forwarder channel can't launch the application if it's not there.
Also post a syscheck here.
Specify if you have these channels installed on to the nand, or if you have an Emunand setup like Sneek/Uneek etc..

I was using tab mod. When I tried to start a forwarder from an emulator or any other homebrew from it it would fall back to the usb loader gx. So I decided to test with the official version v3.0 r1272, now I'm getting a black screen. And yes, I have the homebrews installed on sd:/apps. And I never used sneek/uneek.
Forwarders start normally if run from wiimenu.

Use this modded version by @blackb0x instead. Just overwrite the files that're on sd:/apps/usbloadergx folder with these.
And yes, I have the homebrews installed on sd:/apps.

Ok.
Here is the syscheck:
That's one hell of a syscheck.. Fine though..
