Hardware Partitioning a drive for both PS3 and Wii?

You'll be switching all the time if you have pirate's ADD like me

Hardware Partitioning a drive for both PS3 and Wii?

One could argue that having two partitions is more of a hassle than having one, all-inclusive partition! I use the same external drive, with one FAT32 partition, for my Wii games and a slew of external-safe PS3 games. Though for your PS3, I highly recommend upgrading its internal HD. A lot of...

    Hardware just bought ps3

I use a DVI-HDMI adapter for my computer monitor. The adapter is female DVI and male HDMI. The adapter goes into the PS3's HDMI port, then I run a DVI cable from that adapter to my monitor's DVI port. I also dual input with my computer on my monitor, going through the VGA port. Ironically I...

Hacking NSMB: Music pauses then resumes (USB loading)

I was hoping my transition from a 3.5 external drive to a 2.5 external drive was going to be without issue. I was wrong. My 3.5 external drive plays everything fine. No music skipping issues in Mario. This is with WBFS, both Hermes v4 and Waninkoko rev17, and the latest USB Loader GX. My...

Hacking Crap, easy to use channel creator

I've been slowly making the switch from WBFS to FAT32, and part of that switch has been getting a new external HD (a 2.5, instead of my original 3.5). Anyways, whenever I try to launch a FAT32 game for the first time from a Crap channel, it always hangs and resets to the system menu. If I...

Hacking FAT32 or WBFS? Make your choice

Currently still using WBFS, has worked brilliantly for USB loading and especially game channel loading by Loadstructor. All ROMs, wads, and media files are streamed over my network so I don't need FAT for that. I am awaiting the RawkSD update that supports USB DLC loading, and I assume it will...

    Hacking Channel for NSMB

It is possible that the ISO and disc ID that you are choosing for your channel is not what you have on your WBFS drive. Make sure that the game on your WBFS drive is the same source as your channel information.

    Hacking Channel for NSMB

I can confirm that Loadstructor works with both patched NTSC and PAL ISOs (which are two separate channels, of course). I used cLoader 1.6 as the loader and Hermes v4 38-37 as the cIOS.

Hacking Wii backup Manager for Windows

I had the same problem as giantpune with my transfer of ~100 games, from WBFS to .wbfs. About 30 would transfer and then disappear, with the same error message. I chalked it up to the error that fig mentioned earlier, which will be fixed in his next update I believe. To get around it, I used...

Hacking Wii backup Manager for Windows

(on XP, will upgrade soon to 7) C is my Boot but not my System. How confusing is that I need to research how to move my MBR.

Hacking Wii backup Manager for Windows

0.2.4 does not detect my C drive that has .wbfs on it. 0.2.1 does. The program is not being launched from the C drive in either of these instances, if that matters at all. Just adding to your list of things to do! Glad I'm not a programmer

Hacking Wii backup Manager for Windows

fig, I think I figured out the reason behind my slow transfers. My WD 750GB appears to be the problem, combined with the program. Some catastrophic I/O errors clued me in I tested with a different physical drive and the speeds were closer to what you mentioned. With further testing, the...

Hacking Wii backup Manager for Windows

I'm on 0.2.1, and I can't get a .wbfs game to be transferred over to my WBFS drive. I check the box next to the game on my NTFS .wbfs list, then click 'Copy selected to...' at the top (right-clicking always produces grayed out options no matter what, even for .iso to .wbfs conversions), then...

Hacking Updated USB Loader GX - GH5 no longer loads

I did exactly as Livy described. Installed 222 as 38 merge 37. Deleted all my USB Loader GX files. Set global 222, 002 anti. USB Loader GX couldn't load it. My game channel and uLoader can still load it just fine. So what about USB Loader GX is the problem? This used to work before a...

Hacking Wii backup Manager for Windows

Wow fig, that's !@#$ing awesome. You might consider streamlining the "backup to your local HD" option and making it a bit more obvious. I imagine a lot of people would have a use for backing up to their computer or maybe a NAS. That would include specifying the .wbfs folder beyond just the...

    Hacking Configurable USB Loader

I second this question. If I were to make the switch to FAT USB game loading, I would need support for game channels that could load from those .wbfs files on the FAT partition. Like currently how Loadstructor makes game channels for games on an WBFS partition.

Hacking Wii backup Manager for Windows

It is my understanding that currently with this program, ISOs can only be backed up to a WBFS drive or a .wbfs file on a FAT partition. Is there any way, with this program or otherwise, to back up ISOs in the .wbfs format but on a NTFS partition (i.e. on a local computer). I'd like to avoid...

Hacking Updated USB Loader GX - GH5 no longer loads

Are you saying that with Hermes v4 and the latest USB Loader GX, the 37-38 merge needs to be under 222 instead of 223 for it to work properly (currently my 223 is 37-38 merge and was 36-37 merge previously)? That's a bit silly, but I wouldn't put that past USB Loader GX.

Hacking Updated USB Loader GX - GH5 no longer loads

I had GH5 loading fine from USB Loader GX, rev ~500-600, using Hermes v3 cIOS 36-37 on 223. Then I updated my USB Loader GX, saw that I needed the new Hermes, did that, and now I can't get USB Loader GX to load GH5. I deleted my config folder and experimented with different settings, still no...

Hacking Why do you hack your Wii?

I modify my Wii because I believe in making my technology work for me. Technology is there to serve us and to make our lives easier. The answers provided don't really reflect that; playing "free" games is only one element of modifying a Wii. Nintendo made a decent machine but then purposely...
