The USB Gecko doen't have leds also it seems to plugged in Slot1, slot2 has a white dongle, possibly a usbgecko for debug.
Maybe a new usbgecko since nuke abandoned the scene?
I had the samething after using dop-ios modv8 on my IOSes (60-61).
I uninstalled and reinstalled the HBC through bootmii installer. Now uses IOS20 and works like a charm
gcm doesnot mean shrunk necessarily (just rename them to .iso if you want to burn them) . If your files aren't 1459978240 bytes then yes they are shrunk
which means gamecube probably won't play/boot. but you can find some tools to make them full isos again.
*edit*
I remembered the tool. it...
I believe you are missing a cIOS (cios rev14 from waninkoko) if it were the usb hdd it would just countdown.
your ios 249 is a stub. you need to install a working one.
Use trucha sign enabler to downgrade IOS15. To use this you must boot it with an exploit like bannerbomb for 4.2
Hopes this help you started and good luck
Although the ticket is smaller than 1kilobyte (0x02a3 in hex = 675bytes) I don't you have a problem. But the anytittle deleter mod, by red squirrel, is the way to go for a clean wii (sounds DIRTY lol).

i'll try and make a screenshot with usbgecko (never tried screencapturing the menu, while rebooting with hooks from geckoOS) today. I am at work right now.
-EDIT- Nevermind, didn't saw the over than 480p resolution you requested.
Just DO NOT uninstall the system menu. You won't have the disc to reinstall it again and you will end up with a boring Devkit menu saying some useless information like time, wiimote settings etc
I believe it could work. The RVT is kinda old. Newest system menu on the disc menu installer is 3.0x. It has 1.0u,2.2x,3.0x to choose from and up to IOS33 (old ones). Also i never updated. I think it needs special IOSes from the nintendo server anyway with a devkit common key. So no RETAIL IOS...
believe me they are not. the first it just uninstalls the system menu (title id of the channel ".WMU") and reverts you back in the special boot2, the other just check the disc for errors (title id ".DCK" if I remember correctly) and presents a CRC16 hash.
Another thing is the Devkit doesNOT...
I second that, they are good. I always get the steak and add mushrooms to it also. But yea been awhile since had myself. I used to go there every morn for coffee and breakfast, meet with my work crew, but we all stop going, too expensive.
