ROM Hack The Dark Spire - Font Fix

I know most people won't have anything to complain about when it comes to the fonts in this game, but it seems lately companies are reusing each others crappy fontsets, the only thing that makes them playable for me is when I can break out NFTRedit and fix it myself. So if you're like me, and...

Gaming Dragon Quest 5 Temp Saves

Does anyone know if it's a bug that these don't delete themselves after you load them? Or is it just how the game operates? Would kind of ruin the point of it being a tempsave, if it's really just a permanent "save anywhere you want to" alternate save.

    ROM Hack Intro Hacking

I was just wondering if anyone was familiar with any way we could remove the intros of games that are non skipable. The Japanese Castlevania (new one) has 2 screens, Konami and the Video codec one, the us one has 4: Licensed by Nintendo, Konami, Video Codec, Online ESRB Interactions warning...

ROM Hack Changing text in DQ4, help!

Of course seeing that all of the text was in ".txt" like files I thought this would be easy, but I'm obviously doing something wrong. The files are .MTP, with some sort of header, and then all of the text with control codes fairly easy to read. What I'm trying to do is change dialogue and well...

    ROM Hack BoF2 Palette Fix

For some reason, I want to try and fix the palette and graphics in Breath of Fire 2 for GBA. Not that there's anything wrong with it, other than being really really puke ugly compared to the original. I figure that all I need to do is edit the palette and a few tiles (mostly for the menu...

ROM Hack Lost Magic cheat codes.

Hey all, I'm looking to find a cheat code to "lock" the timer in Lost Magic. I'm not one to ever use cheat codes, but the timer really ruins the game for me and I'd rather play it with the opportunity to explore and take my time. Anyone know of such a code?

I wonder if that was the point of game streaming
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    But it's a dead end
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@Psionic Roshambo, people who cant download it can still play the game
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, why did you start saying my pc has a hamster in the first place?

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

They went all in on streaming, should have been more of a hybrid approach

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
