Indeed, looks to me like the joystick bug is getting triggered by a grounding problem. When the volume is down there is not much current to go to ground (because nothing is being transferred into the speakers and thus the system). When up, the current is missing ground and interfering with the...- Cozmic

It could of course be that there are slightly different controllers in different console production batches with slightly different calibrations. The manufacturer then has to adjust the calibration setting per batch, and inject a slightly differtent firmware / controller setting into that...- Cozmic
