Hi all,
Just wondering.. Does anyone know of any methods to get generic micro SD cards working with Picoboot?
I have a stash of cards I picked up off Aliexpress that are all 64GB in storage. However none of them work with my modded GameCube. I've tried formatting them to both exFAT and Fat32...
I'm a dumbass hahaha... For anyone who wants an update...
The reason the drive wasn't working after I installed the Picoboot mod was because at the time of installing, I also bridged the R6 points to turn the console into a NTSC-U unit. The reason I was getting a disk read error was because I...
I totally understand this now..
But the point I'm trying to make is that I can physically see from looking at the shell that the PSP has clearly been dropped on the floor. The evidence points more towards it being a hardware related issue than a software issue. I'm not ruling out the whole...
Very interesting!
I'm just waiting on a new shell and IPS screen to arrive in the mail. When it comes within the next few days I'l take it apart and take some readings on both the charge chip and fuse. I'll report back when I have more information. Thank you for the feedback/tips :)
Yeah probably, still doesn't excuse his rude outburst on me.
This could definitely be one of the reasons! However if the little chip that controls the charging is damaged.. Wouldn't it still power on if you were to insert a fully charged battery?
Well I did come across a video on YouTube about 30 minutes ago with someone showing their PSP having the exact same symptoms as mine. As I was reading through he comments a lot of people were pointing out that they solved the issue by replacing the fuse on the back of the main board.
(this is...
I'm not sure I understand what you're suggesting.
I know it's not a battery issue because I have 3 PSP batteries and they all work/charge in my other working PSPs.
I'm 99.9% sure my issue is nothing to do with Pandora Battery. I've seen videos of people having Pandora Battery brick issues and their symptoms are different to mine. I can tell from just look at the PSP that it's obviously been dropped, so I assume its damaged internally.
Hi all,
I brought a PSP-1000 super cheap from Japan. The shell is totally damaged and the UMD door is hanging off due to a chip on the bottom (it looks like the PSP was dropped).
My plan was to buy it super cheap and restore it with a new shell and IPS display.
However it doesn't appear to...
Awesome! I just wanted to confirm that as the issue before I went out and purchased a replacement laser. I read other things about the drive possibly needing a recap etc.
Another question. If I do go and purchase a new laser, what should I set the POT too, since it's currently sitting on 30ohms?
Hi all,
Yesterday I received a boxed Nintendo GameCube (DOL-101) console.
My main goal here was to install a picoboot modchip inside, but before any of that I wanted to do some initial testing.
I inserted a disc and it done the famous 'no spin' and straight to the dashboard. So I took it...
Hi all,
I've been doing a heap of Picoboot installs for GameCube's lately, but they've all been on DOL-001 models using SD2SP2 adapters. Today I done my first install on a DOL-101 model and because there is no port for an SD2SP2 adapter, I've been forced to use a GC2SD adapter (which is fine)...
I managed to fix it myself. - For anyone else having the same problem, here is the solution...
- I got a new 500GB hard drive that I knew was working and hooked it up to my PC.
- I used the Xbox HDD Master Script to format and build a new Xbox hard drive from scratch.
- Once the hard drive was...
Hi all,
Today I was given an old phat Xbox One console. But I cant seem to get it booting into OS. I've never used an Xbox One before (I'm a Sony guy) so I'm not fully clued up about how the Xbox One operates.
So when I first hooked it up, it took about 30 seconds to display anything on my TV...
Thanks so much for taking the time to type this out! I did edit my previous post but maybe you had already posted this before getting a chance to read it.
I downloaded 4.1E via NUS Downloader and installed the .WAD with WiiMod Lite.
After my Wii rebooted back into the system menu, I was then...
I already have the v0.9 installer on my SD card. But when I run it via HBC it just says "Press A to exit back to loader.."

Fixed it!
I downloaded 4.1E system menu from NUS Downloader and force installed the .WAD with WiiMod Lite via HBC.
After the Wii rebooted I was then able to run...
Alright cool, I'll leave it be.
My final question.. is there a way to update my version of Priiloader? I'm currently running v0.6 which I think is from when I soft modded my Wii all those years ago.
When I try to run the installer it just tells me to press A and throws me back to the HBC.
I fully get that. But I had already started this process before everyone started telling that updating to 4.3 is pointless. -- Its irking me out now that I've installed all the WADs and it didn't update the system menu. It's going to sit in the back of my mind that something didn't go as...
I haven't played my Switch n a month or so, just been playing Xbox, and just picked to play lil and Damn that A and B, X and Y being reversed always gets me.
I agree Tears is great. I even played thru it completely twice. I've been hooked on playing thru Fallout 4 again though, after they released the next gen version for Series S/X. Is pretty cool update.
because I already got burned out with breath of the wild, which for the most part is essentially the same game, and then again with master mode, which doesn't work as a new game plus (that always felt bizarre to me)
