    Did you decompress the game.bin.lz before applying the paralogue patch? You need to use a special program liek batchlz77 or fire emblem archive tool (aka feat). If you don't know you did, then you didn't.

    You don't, this tool is for roms not save files. If you are using citra your save files are already on your pc so you can open them directly with the save editor. if you're playing from a 3ds you will need to get your saves onto your pc somehow, and this is not the tool for that.

    What build should I be using for fire emblem fates? In both the official builds and in drwhojan's mingw and msvc builds from march 23rd my fps plummets to single digits when i get to a point where the in-game engine starts rendering stuff. Is there a build that runs this better?

    Did you patch the gamedata.bin.lz located in the romfs\gamedata folder? Did you decompress the gamedata.bin.lz with a tool like batchlz77 or FEAT before applying the patch? if so, did you recompress the gamedata.bin.lz after applying the patch?
