maybe, maybe not. you'd probably need an additional adapter just to make it work, but i'm not sure what kind of cable do you have

Hacking Creating a custom DNS server for Nintendo Switch

It *would*, and theoretically you can do a redir from *.facebook.com to *, i.e. youtube.com.facebook.com would redir to youtube.com. Though I can't check if it would work as I'm on 2.3.0.

Hacking [Poll] What firmware are you going to be on when CFW is expected to release?

2.3.0. I thought about updating to 3.0.0, but lower is better - i'll be able to upgrade any time, but i won't be able to downgrade.

Homebrew WIP nx-python: Create Python Homebrew for the Switch!

AWESOME! I've already started writing some homebrew in C, but I can imagine nx-python giving us a lot of new homebrew from less-experienced coders. Great work :3

Hacking Question When I change my DNS to disable updates I can't connect to the eshop/online games for some reason.

For a regular user - yes, that's a true statement. But in the full scope, only thing that doesn't really work on older firmwares is sharing on social media. eShop doesn't work, but it's a matter of convincing the console that the firmware is the latest, which will be probably doable in the future.

Hacking WIP SDL 1.2.15 for Switch (libnx based)

Nice project, nop90! I've got only one question, why not the latest and the greatest SDL 2.0? AFAIK 1.2 is good only for compatibility purposes like programming for older operating systems plus it's not as well documented as 2.0

Hacking Question When I change my DNS to disable updates I can't connect to the eshop/online games for some reason.

On the Switch, blocking one server blocks them all. I'd recommend disabling automatic updates and living with it. I'm on 2.3.0, don't block anything, and never got prompted without an option to decline.

Hacking fail0verflow tease Linux on Switch

Doesn't literally every even semi-controversial thread cause a "rip in community"? It's just how things are, and we have to live with those rips. But getting on-topic - Not releasing an exploit is logical, as it may cause legal trouble for the hacker group and will cause the exploit to be...

Hacking Question about Switch performance and dynamic resolution scaling?

About this bending issue.. Maybe it wasn't a heat-related problem or even a faulty unit, maybe someone sat on a switch and later claimed that it got bent? Either that or it was caused due to flexing when playing furiously..

Hacking Question about Switch performance and dynamic resolution scaling?

Underclocking usually also comes with a possibility to undervolt, and that was what I thought that might give better results.

Hacking Question about Switch performance and dynamic resolution scaling?

I think that Rauliki thought about underclocking to save some battery life when the raw power is not needed. Just using less CPU/GPU would leave more battery life, but underclocking may give you better results.

Hacking Casual Developer - Where do I start?

I wanted to develop *something* a few weeks ago, but since I'm on 2.3.0, nothing expect some javascript html5 games would be possible for me. I agree with those who said that switch scene should mature a little bit more; In time you'll probably even have some easy to follow tutorials for newbs...
