Yes of course! ethernet should be faster and much more stable vs wifi as all wifi equipped PS3's use 2.4ghz 802.11G maximum (54mbps). This includes even super slim models as well. For comparison, the Xbox 360 although it never had wifi on the fats, you can use either a white dongle (802.11G) or...
Unfortunately not, at least not right now. Hagi's memory card format (GC/Wii emu) needs to be better understood first to see how it differs from GCI's and the like.
That's great to hear! Looking forward to when you're able to beat everything. Thanks again for the Galaxy save. I'll edit OP and compile a save thing once everything is confirmed working.
hmmm then the memory card format must be different in someway. i can definitely tell somethings up as it differs from just about every other memory card format ive seen.
Alright so I managed to find a structure of a gci and fiddled with some stuff for sunshine. Just wanted to up here just to see if everything is okay. If anything is broken lmk (ofc rename to .sav for it to work). If it works then that means we have a complete save for sunshine.
Again if you want to try to hex the gamefaqs save into the switch save i upped i can try it and see if it works. I'm willing to be a guinea pig for this o.o
Whatever emu you're using is wrong. 32KB is the correct size in both switch emu and SNES9x. Yoshi's island is weird because its a combination save ram and work ram chip for the super fx chip. I uploaded a save here thats 100%. rename to .sram for it to work ofc.
The Switch save should be corrupt on a wii as Galaxy was recompiled for Switch and as a result had a change of endianess for most of the files and such. if we can determine whats different and what isnt between saves it should let us hopefully make editing saves easier
I might be able to try out the switch save if youre able to hex it properly. If you feel like it up here and I'll be sure to give results. im hoping the bit after it says "save data" is compatible with both and the weird text and such with the switch save not saying "Sunshine" properly is just a...
Different emus seem to use different formats. I recall using that mario allstars save originally with my sd2snes and it was sourced from the wii virtual console. The wii save was essentially the same as a raw dump but 4 bytes were added near the end. I'd compare both formats of save (switch save...
Yes that is indeed what the save reports as in dolphin as far as sunshine is concerned. and galaxy saves are 48kb across both systems. I'm hoping that both can be figured out and uploaded soon. Also I forgot about that 1 star at peaches castle.
Whenever I inject saves i always put into airplane mode, shut down, reboot into rcm and run payload and then run checkpoint. I've only had 1 fault with a save file and even then its for a game i wouldn't think would carry a ban risk (smash). That particular game only banned me for online for...
Yes, you can use emulator saves for SNES Online and it doesn't seem to carry a ban risk which is great. You have to make sure they're in the right format though (Mario All-Stars for example uses an 8KB ram chip so make sure the save itself is 8KB). Usually what I do is use a hex editor like HxD...
Heres the link for both saves (ofc remove the prefix for them to work) https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kE3nbNp_uhtMCV9CzDTtMu2xr6GHfI90/view?usp=sharing
The wii save has a mii profile and has both mario and luigi 100% complete with 240 stars and I believe 9999 starbits. It should reset to mario...
Glad to see it works on a actual gamecube. Did you want me to send the galaxy save files at all? The complete save i do have does have a Mii as its profile and im not exactly sure where it stores the profile "head". I would have changed to Mario but i dont have a Wii on me ATM plus dolphin...
Here is a pic comparison of A.sav
