well, mario hoops was playable but not downloadable - the "vol 3." they had downloaded will probably reach store kiosks soon.
I don't remember what demos they had, other that one of the brain titles, and a non-interactive starfox DS movie.
Sorry then, no way I can do this... I'll have to leave it to somebody else.
I can't figure out why DS code can't be written to load-and-store, but then I've always lived in an ideal fantasy word (which I'm the emperor of, BTW).
I don't know either... that's why I asked. Sorry.
I found this press release thing:
Rack up another game showing for the San Diego Comic-Con. Nintendo is offering Comic-Con attendees the chance to meet Charles Martinet--the voice actor who spits out the mascot's lines in the Mario games--while...
Going there tomorrow... wondering if there's anything I can do to help and/or how it usually gets done. Is there some kind of magic utility that downloads, but instead of running the demos, saves them? Or do people somehow get hold of the physical media?
Well, at the time I had two versions - the prepatched version, which ran and seemed to save, and an unpatched which didn't run at all (mind you, with older M3 firmware).
Thanks, I'll try to download all three, see what works for me.
I'm having trouble with this too...
I used the pre-patched rom and M3, gave it to a friend who couldn't wait to play it, he said half the time the saves worked and half the time they didn't, which is stranger than them never working.
What's my best bet? just use the psyds one, patch it myself...
So there's no problem letting the game save, turning the unit off, waiting a couple of days, and turning it on again?
What happens when the battery runs out? How can I tell when? Can it be replaced?
And I know what trimming is, I just mean it's a shame the game manager is asking you to choose...
Hmmm... so it's pretty much just trial and error for all of these. It's a shame the manager doesn't tell you how much it can trim to figure if it's worth the risk for a certain game.
And what is this SRAM? Does it get deleted when the power's off? If so, does that mean you *have* to do a...
As promised, here's the thread where I asked stupid questions:
OK, so I have my M3, and successfully (thanks TheSpade) flashed without bricking my Lite. I'm current with the new releases (by the way, what utility can I use to keep track of them?). Now there's a bunch of stuff I need to...
Well, can't you have it patched to save the entire state? Would that even do much with this game? If tunes disappear after a few seconds... From what I remember (own the original, not handy now) some EP types do repeat the music endlessly.
How come this isn't an issue with wifime?
Also: do we know at least the algorithm/strength of the encryption used? If it's, say, 64 bit it might be possible to brute-force it (it would still take a few months/years!) but with 128 bit or more, forget it.
As I understand there's two methods to get code (like flashme, or homebrews) to execute on a not-yet-flashed DS.
One is with a device like passme (or the newer cards), the other with wifime.
But all wifime does is send the target DS a program to execute. And we know that's how store demos and...
I a way, this sucks a bit - I really wanted a collection of all 15 multiscreen G&W titles, but this release probably means it's never gonna happen.

I tried the process again, this time using Ping Pals (U). The last time I used Wario Ware Touched (U), one of the first games I got for the DS.
Ironically, I bought Ping Pals for $2 (clearance) because I needed a spare case - I never expected to make use of the game itself...
Thank you, but no joy yet:
3. From the M3 GBA Menu, choose "Games" then run the .gba file as you would any game. You should see a "SRAM Written" message. When you do, turn off your DS and back on again.
4. Let the M3 save the file...
What I actually see is:

Warning: GBA Save game...
Anybody here have a Xbox series S and a series X, is the performance difference noticeable? Not worried about 4k. I have a series X but not a series S and was curious. (Reason- I was thinking of buying a series S for a second tv, for when grandkids come over, to keep them off my X)
