Very annoying that Nintendo never fixed this bug

Ah, now that I read the article, it's true. I heard someone said that they didn't really test on a NTSC console, but seems that was wrong.

Very annoying that Nintendo never fixed this bug

Assuming your vWii works like mine's, then you should be getting progressive over component, it's just that the DMCU is wrongly configured and for some reason it switchs to interlaced. Region changing the Wii U may help in the sense that maybe the Wii U side will behave like American units...

Very annoying that Nintendo never fixed this bug

I can confirm that my unit is capable of displaying progressive over component. Yeah, seems it's a bug with PAL units. It's weird that region changing it doesn't fix it... I'm having a hard time seeing this as a hardware issue, aside EEPROM saying your Wii U is PAL or NTSC, and maybe some SLC...

Very annoying that Nintendo never fixed this bug

I have an American Wii U with component cables, I might try later to see if it happens here, but I have to find where I had put those cables though. It's also a launch unit from 2012. I haven't seen evidence pointing this to be a hardware issue, worst case scenario I believe it may just be a...

Very annoying that Nintendo never fixed this bug

That's why I said it also seems to affect NTSC units as well, can't confirm since I haven't tried, but I heard someone said on Discord that his NTSC unit wasn't doing progressive over component.

Not sure if all units do it, heard someone saying that his NTSC unit did the same. This maybe could be patched via DMCU.

    It's called clickbait.

Tutorial Project How to set up ISFShax

Oh, that was an Aroma issue, it is reported and being worked on (the problem I had). It's a problem with the Icon Database, Aroma redirects it to the SDCard due to the Homebrew On Menu plugin, and ECO Process looks for it on the MLC. Since MLC Icon Database isn't updated, it fails to update...

Tutorial Project How to set up ISFShax

That catched my attention, I was wishing to perform some hard mods on my console, particulary the one that let's you expand the internal memory and de_fuse, but don't want to risk my only and main console. Would you mind giving me the contact?

Tutorial Project How to set up ISFShax

I tried with ISFSHax and System transfer doesn't softlock after leaving it there, don't know if it works, but that part is at least not a problem. (I have removed the H&S injection, not sure if that did anything). Also if you want to play with the system, be sure to use redNAND first

Tutorial Project How to set up ISFShax

At one point I was thinking that Nintendo TVii could be used for coldbooting instead of H&S since that applet is completely useless and it doesn't seem likely that Pretendo can/will ressurrect it. Removing TVii altogether from system memory doesn't bring side effects as far as I tested...

Nintendo takes down Gmod content from Steam's Workshop

Honestly, I was wondering why they weren't doing this earlier. Not that I support this decision but knowing them I thought they would take them down much earlier than this.

    [WIP] GTA 5/RAGE Switch Port

It already was "cancelled", I doubt it was even in development in the first place actually, it was fake.

Gaming Homebrew Project Pretendo Splatoon Repopulation Project

Personally the only reason I like Splatoon 3 more is because it has loads of more content, but the core gameplay and vibes of Splatoon 1... I don't know if it's nostalgia or what, but I like them more. Of course, Splatoon 3 is better at everything else, but you know, Splatoon 1 despite being...

    Homebrew Misc Pretendo Profile Picture

Yes, it looks like a less detailed version of the Mii. There is a way to change the image locally via FTP, but I don't know if it will work, it may sync with the server and change it back to the "downgraded" pretendo Mii.

Tutorial Project How to set up ISFShax

I can, but I don't know how it works, should I just use it as it is? Or do I need a special config? It says something that it needs a FTDI FT232 chipset serial cable and TeraTerm

Tutorial Project How to set up ISFShax

No redNAND here, and not using the payloader plugin, I tried coldbooting with Health & Safety and the results are the same. HBAppStore for example without ISFSHax it takes around 10 seconds to load, with ISFSHax it goes to around 1 minute. It's not of a big deal since I rarely use homebrew...

Tutorial Project How to set up ISFShax

That happens to me as well, I'm not sure why it is, but since I uninstalled ISFSHax for some testing it's true, my console is a lot faster. Weird.

I had a problem like that, check your Aroma setup, I don't recall what exactly it was for me, but it was related to that.

I haven't seen any, sorry. I think if you research how minute works you may be able to pull it off though.
