Ok, Ryzen 1700X take-two. 2933 RAM vs 2133, 3.9ghz vs 3.8ghz, affinity set to the same quad-core unit, loading the game from M.2 vs external HDD, 1.7.3 vs 1.7.2. Everything I could think of optimizing.
Pretty much 10 FPS more. Honestly I think the RAM was the biggest difference. Affinity didn't...
Just tried that at 3.9ghz. No better, maybe even a little worse.
To be fair, I looked through the results everyone was posting with their hardware and didn't see anyone with an R9 380 get a solid 60fps so who knows. :P
I upgraded from a 4570 (non k) and so far it's been a great upgrade. Only thing running slower is this emulator, at least that I noticed. Overwatch is much faster now even with the same GPU.
Pretty much i5 when it comes to single threaded applications, i7 when it comes to threaded stuff.
I've...
Quite possible. Latest patreon build seems to help somewhat, more of a 50-60fps now.
Only spare GPU is another AMD so I can't test to see if that's the cause. Performance is "good enough" for now. Hopefully whatever the bottleneck is can be fixed. :)
1080p test on a few levels. 1700X @ 3.8ghz, 2666mhz DDR4 RAM, Gamepad, GPU Cache Low.
Looks like the CPU just doesn't run the code optimally. Not sure if it's a CPU/Windows/Cemu issue though, but hopefully it gets better :)
I'll cut another video together, but the frame rate was about the same. I'll probably add them on Patreon to see if the new version helps, but probably not since they aren't optimizing for this CPU (yet at least).
Could be a Windows 10 issue as some people have reported games and such working...
I uploaded the video. GPU cache is on low. Disabling SMT boosts framerates up a bit, but still not a locked 60. Main thread pegs at 100% utilization, rendering at 1080p doesn't seem to affect anything so it's definitely the CPU. Overclocking the RAM helped a bit.
Will try overclocking more...
Did you guys know China owns Barbie now? Along with many other American companies. Motorola, General Electric, AMC theaters, Smithfield meats, Nike, Under Armor
