Hacking SWITCH NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Sorry for the late reply. Thanks! I have another question, though. Is accessing the RCM absolutely required? Maybe I'm misinterpreting, but it seems like it's just a way to test compatibility with the exploits. I'm just concerned because I feel uneasy about physically tampering with the...

Hacking SWITCH NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Hey, so Pokemon has been out for a bit, and I want to use PKHeX. I'm gonna need to mod my Switch, but I don't know where I should begin. I bought a second Switch in January 2018 just for this purpose that is apparently hackable according to the information in the serial number thread. These are...

    Homebrew SaveGame Manager GX

Thank you, FancyNintendoGamer. I'll try that in a bit. I've just run into another problem. I can't seem to install my Mario Strikers Charged save data. I keep getting "Error: Unable to copy datas." I've tried version R76, R125, and R127. Is there a version I'm missing that will work with this...

Is there a way to claim ownership of Miis transferred from another console? As in, is there a way to edit Miis that are "not created by me"?

Tutorial The Ultimate Nintendo Wii hacking guide for seniors

So, I haven't touched my softmodded Wii in about a decade, and I want to re-backup my nand and keys since I can't seem to find them. Unfortunately, I can't find my bootmii stuff either, so I can't launch bootmii. Is it safe to go through the letterbomb and hackmii process again, or is there a...

Hacking Yet Another BlueDump MOD (YABDM).

Thank you so much! One last question that's on my mind. Is there a way to transfer Wii Shop Channel data to my other console? Obviously, I can't buy any new games, but in the event that I may need to redownload something, I'd like to have that option. Perhaps I can just keep up with the dumped...

Hacking Yet Another BlueDump MOD (YABDM).

Right, I misspoke because I was in a hurry. I meant save data. So, save data for MKWii under the "games that use channels" directory would be the same as games under "disc savedata"? Also, when dumping all my other files, how do I make sure they can work on my Wii console? Such as save data...

Hacking Yet Another BlueDump MOD (YABDM).

I sent you a PM of the pictures. Also, would saving a WAD of MKWii under "Games that use Channels" be the same as saving a WAD under "Disc Savedata"? Or, would that not work?

Hacking Yet Another BlueDump MOD (YABDM).

So, I'm trying to dump all of my stuff from the Wii U's Wii mode and move it back to my Wii (I had done a system transfer a long time ago), and I'm looking at my "Disc Savedata," and it doesn't seem to detect my Mario Kart Wii save data. Instead, it reads as "Channel/Title deleted from Wii Menu...

Hacking Wii U NOOB PARADISE - Ask & Answer questions here.

Hi there. So, I posted this in the Wii Noob Paradise, but wasn't sure if that was the right place for it since it's dealing with the Wii U's Wii Mode, so I'm forwarding it here. If that's against the rules, my apologies.

Hacking NOOB PARADISE - ask away

Hi. Thank you for these NOOB PARADISE threads. It makes me feel welcome in this forum of overwhelming knowledge that I couldn't begin to comprehend. I would like to do a full reversal of the Wii to Wii U transfer. I have a softmodded Wii with homebrew channel and some usb loaders, but I...

Hacking SWITCH NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Would I be correct in saying that hackers in general prefer to hack Nintendo consoles over any other consoles? Maybe I'm being biased, but I feel like the Smash Bros. modding scene is evident enough. I have never seen a console game that has been supported by mods as much as Brawl has been.

That's awesome! ... except for the Switch logo. I don't think using that directly would be a good idea.

Homebrew WIP The Homebrew Launcher (Concept Graphics)

These colors are a perfect representation of the Switch logo. Maybe change the name to "the homebrew switch", but otherwise, the default name is fine. These colors plus the OP's background are A-OK in my book.

Hacking SWITCH NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

I have a question. Let's say I want to use homebrew for future games, like Smash Bros. Will homebrew installed on older firmware versions have compatibility with future games that require newer firmware?

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
