ROM Hack Z3DME - Zelda OOT3D Model Editor (Work in progress)

I've tried decompiling the texture files manually but haven't got anything decent lol. There's a few programs that are able to convert the ctxb files to png, but they can't be converted back. I think ctxb files are some kind of custom dds (or at least that's my impression, I could be wrong), so...

ROM Hack Z3DME - Zelda OOT3D Model Editor (Work in progress)

I hope so! Collisions might have the same format as the meshes so if that's the case then we'd definitely be able to edit them too :)

ROM Hack Z3DME - Zelda OOT3D Model Editor (Work in progress)

Hey guys, how's it going? I'm currently working on a model viewer and editor for OOT3D. It probably works with MM3D too. I've done simple edits so far but there's a lot of features I have planned. As far as I know, the only model viewer for OOT3D is N3DSCmbViewer by xdanieldzd (which is awesome...

ROM Hack Modding Ocarina of Time 3D?

Not sure about textures tbh. About models though, I've been working on a way to import models into OOT3D and MM3D. Maybe that could help you (I'm releasing the tool as soon as it's finished) Another test:

ROM Hack Zelda OOT3D - .zsi room list

What's up? :) Well, I don't know if this list already exists somewhere, but I figured that it might be of use for some people who want to explore these rooms or make their romhacks or whatever. I made a list of most .zsi rooms. It needs to be expanded, it's not finished, as I don't really...

Hacking Two questions regarding SD Cards and Homebrew

Oh crap :( Well, thanks anyway! auto Hey, sorry to bother you... but I have one last question. I already have Homebrew Channel installed on vWii, and I've noticed it can read apps from my USB (I didn't know this until basically 5 minutes ago). Is there any way to... I don't know, install a...

Hacking Two questions regarding SD Cards and Homebrew

I know it's a long shot, but since my SD slot is broken, I'm trying to find alternatives. 1. Is there a way to trick the Wii U into thinking an USB is an SD Card? (Long shot) 2. Is there a way to load Loadiine without an SD Card? Or install Homebrew at all without an SD Card? Sorry if my...

I wonder if that was the point of game streaming
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    But it's a dead end
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@Psionic Roshambo, people who cant download it can still play the game
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

Did you feed the hamster in your internet router? It prob died and is running slow now.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, why did you start saying my pc has a hamster in the first place?

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

also @BigOnYa im making some progress on my gdevelop project, implemented various mechanics

They went all in on streaming, should have been more of a hybrid approach

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
