Nintendo sends DMCA notices for "syspatch-updater" homebrew app by iTotalJustice

Could Nintendo do this DMCA bullshit if the repos were hosted in EU? I don't think so, as the EU law is much more end user friendly when it comes to security circumvention (on stuff you own with no profit gain...).

Flash cart for the Switch incoming?

I don't know, maybe because the current switch is 7 years old and the OLED is just a slight refresh?

'Atomic Heart: Annihilation Instinct' DLC gets launch trailer

It also perfectly showcases how USSR "worked" ("pretty" on the outside, rotten on the inside).

The difficulties of legal game preservation and backups showcased in latest Completionist video

I know right? Imagine that the only way you can get something that is no longer being sold by the company (so they can't get anything from it no matter what), is to create an exact copy that does not cause anything negative to anyone. Fuck them thieves, am I right?

Editorial Digital downloads vs. physical copies of games - which do you prefer?

It's simple. I prefer digital downloads, but I want for physical copies to always exist.

U.S. District Judge rules Valve must face antitrust litigation

Then Steam can't sell anything except Valve games, as they don't own them. What you can sell, however, is the licence. But this sellability depends on the EULA or ToS, which has to abide by laws in your country. So you can allow people to resell licences for their digital games.

Or just, you know, keeping using the vanced apps, as google almost never changes the api.

    Hacking Can't update the firmware

He does not have one (what a shocker, I know). Anyways, here is an update. He tried creating emuMMC and updating that. He gets the same error. So what the hell went wrong here?!? We are both absolutely lost...

    Hacking Can't update the firmware

Hey everyone, long time no see. My friend has an interesting problem with his Switch. He is currently on FW 10.2.0. And he can't update it no matter what he tries. Trying normal System Update via Nintendo servers gives him: "Error Code 2002-0038, Not enough free space in the save destination"...

Nintendo says it currently has no plans to release any other Switch revisions beyond the OLED model

Everyone was hyped for Switch Pro and we got an OLED model. Pretty sure that most of the hype now transferred to Steam Deck instead...

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.
  • Veho @ Veho:
    I dread the price point.

  • Veho @ Veho:
This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah it's all choice and that's a good thing :)
