Yes I have removed the folder it can see and it just lists "install" the name of the parent folder

I used Wii U USB Helper which individually lists the games/folders and I have them double check for file integrity. I have the typical wii u, install and haxchi file structure on my card...
I have installed / reinstalled multiple times Haxchi and every time I load WUP to try and install a game it will not see any folders but a folder from the initial install of the homebrew channel loader. It doesn't seem it would be the format of the card or the brand since I have been able to...
good call - let me check that - 15 mins to find out,... haha hopefully we will have liftoff

nevermind i have to dump the NAND onto this SD card if I want to use it - ugh

holy shit, accidentally i tried to run the WUP installer when I intially ran Haxchi (pressing B while title is...
Hmm maybe I should just go head and make its FAT32 formated just in case,.. still doesnt explain why one folder showed

Damn alright so I'll just copy over the folder over and then format for 32fb - god there goes the 3 hours of dumping the NAND with this format.. maybe it can atleast...
Once you have CBHC installed you basically just run the WUP to install the games and youre good to go? Can they be used online/get updates? Also have you had to update CBHC yet?
Mine is SDHX 128gb EVO - which reportedly works,.. and if it works for loading Haxchi you would think it works for the others,.. I just don't want to spend another 3+ hours getting the card set up again to have the same issues,.. If I deleted the VC game on my Wii U before installing in a fresh...
yeah i dont know - i used homebrew 1.3 instead of 1.4 to install haxchi so theres that,.. maybe something with the format of my card.. or the brand,.. or maybe the file structure of the folders? I don't know I have spent the last 2 days dumping my NAND multiple times (3+ hours) to get this right...
It only shows that its directed to the "install" folder. At that point I can't cycle through the folders - its weird it doesn't even show there are folders there. Maybe the card is not formatted correctly so its not seeing the directoy?
THE WII USB HELPER is on my PC - I just selected the games, downloaded, selected the game and chose to download the game, any updates if there were. Once I finished that, I selected the games and hit "Copy to SD" and before I installed the games I made it double check on the integrity of the folder.
It is a mac but I installed the files on my PC through the Wii USB HELPER - Its just so confusing that it would show one folder but not the others. Could it be something wrong with the way my SD card is set up? What about not using Mocha and just use Haxchi? Ugh I am SO close :( In the WUP...
Heres a quick screenshot, I dont know what the full policy is on here about this stuff so I'll take it down after you see it. My SD card is titled "Untitled" could that be it? What I really don't understand is that the folder "homebrew channel loader" shows up as an folder but none other?
When I go to load Haxchi from a fresh boot, when I try to select the Haxchi icon now, it doesnt execute it and just pushes the screen to the next screen of folders/games on the actual Wii U screen
Good call thats exactly the issue with the files - and now when I load the SD card on the Wii U the button doesnt load it and it just puhes the screen to the next screen,.. ugh
EDIT: And yes I used the USB helper to copy the SD cards over to the card
Yes the games are on the SD card to be installed on my USB drive. The games are in the root directory in the "install" folder. Now when I try to look at my SD card in my computer (PC and OS) the card is has no write access... ?
I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
@TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
@Sicklyboy I am wanting to fully change the game and bend it to my will lol. I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!
I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
do y'all think having an sd card that has a write speed of 700kb/s is a bad idea?
trying to restore emunand rn but it's taking ages... (also when I finished the first time hekate decided to delete all my fucking files )
@The Real Jdbye it hasn't given me any error trying to write things on it so I don't really think it's faulty (pasted 40/50gb+ folders and no write errors)
