I don't immediately assume a Netflix original adaptation is going to be bad. But Bioshock worked so well because simply being an interactive medium fed into the story brilliantly. A film adaptation can't have that.

It may not be that the event was cancelled purely because of COVID restrictions on guests, but also because COVID severely impacts the possibility for E3 to be an event like it once was (lack of announcements because development delays, etc)
