I went ahead and updated my emuNAND last night to 8.1. My sysNAND is still at 5.01. Everything went well. Thanks for the help with the questions Lacius.
I'm using the emuNAND as a safety precaution. That way if I mess anything up I still have a sysNAND to work with. Unfortunately, I didn't take a backup before I started to use homebrew. Otherwise I would just update the sysNAND officially and recreate my emuNAND. I stayed away from installing...
Not really no. I figured it would be easier if I wasn't trying to use my sysnand to go online. I have another clean switch for online stuff. I also don't mind if fuses blow and I can't downgrade. Would it be easier or better to do it differently?
I've been looking at tons of posts for the better part of today and still have a couple of questions before I try to update my EmuNand to 8.1.
I am currently on 5.01 Sys and 5.01 Emu with exfat and a exfat SD card using SX OS 2.8 beta.
I plan on using Choix and have my 8.1 files ready. My...

"The quick brown fox jumps over 13 lazy dogs" ..Not sure what relevance it has yet.
The quote is commonly used in writing because it utilizes every letter in the alphabet. On wikapedia I found this info on the saying.

A couple apps I have on 3ds were talking about the maintenance time and said stuff about "my Nintendo" updates going live on the 7th. I know it's a separate system but that may mean that if they do an update for my Nintendo that it won't go live until the next day. We will have to see though...
No its not included. It was a new one in the recent dev files that were released.
Edit: Aren't you a dev? or am I thinking of someone else? I figured that was public knowledge by now. Those came out about a week ago.
What you should have taken away from that statement was that its completely possible for a decent programmer to figure it out. It wasn't a release announcement. When the time is right (if people agree or not with the dev's reasons) a lot of them will be made public. There is a scheduled...
I would love to help once one of my few projects slows down that we are working on right now, but I just wanted to say its nice to see a post like this. These are the kind of topics I miss seeing more of on here. I look forward to seeing the finished product. Good luck mate.
I dont have a IOSU exploit yet, but there is a lot you can do with a kernel exploit. It can even lead to more IOSU exploits or manipulations. Its getting harder to see since the sub forum is getting flooded with junk but there are a lot of mods and programs utilizing the 5.3.2 kernel exploit...
It could be from someone leaking it (which happens a lot) but usually its just the company debugging their own code just like the devs here do to find the exploit in the first place. Its a lot harder for our homebrew devs to debug than it is for the company that writes the code and has full...
