    What is your comfort game(s)?

My gba flashcart got all the games but this is the only one I end up playing. Reminds me of xmas 2005 when I first got it.

Game Boy Micro Not charging, I think it's the Diode, looking for help

@mattek Great contribution, thank you for that. Also, very nice trace repair. I mapped out where the vias seen next to the components where going to, a couple of months ago, but never posted the pics. Anyways, hope this help someone. color scheming changed just a bit, violet/blue is the same...

GBA Let's talk about the DS Lite's GBA cartridge cover... The curiosity is killing me.

Funny thing is, although they have traces and seem to be connected, none of them actually are. The holes cut the connections.

EZ-Flash Omega (Screwed up firmware and not booting)

If you have no other choice than binning it then maybe you could bring it back to life by reprogramming the spi chip (U3). You'll need a programmer, soldering iron and a pc.

    Things you have fixed/modded recently

Fixed this 55" LG. Backlight was going on and off, turned out to be 1 led out of 55 that was dead. Did I replace it? No, I bridged the connection :)

Gameboy micro powers on, but will not charge

Regarding the missing component, some enamel wire across just like how you drew should be fine. I did some poking with the MM and each line has 1ohm resistance that you could place in each row if you really would like to restore it to how it was. And the charging problem seems to be of the same...

Game Boy Micro Not charging, I think it's the Diode, looking for help

It seems like both of you have the same problem after all, which is the missing voltages pre and post the 1ohm resistor. Check if those voltages are present on the power management IC when battery and charger is connected. For now, those two legs seem to be the only place where the vias are...

Game Boy Micro Not charging, I think it's the Diode, looking for help

To prevent thread hijacking, start a new thread with your errors and what you've done. In the meantime I'll disassemble a GBM and do some probing to see where those vias between the diode and transistor (seen in purple) end up and what components are connected there, since it seems like...

Game Boy Micro Not charging, I think it's the Diode, looking for help

Hmm.. so that 4.7V trace shows 1V when connected to the charger but you still get 4.5V and 5.18V on the other pins and 4.5 after the resistor? It shouldn't be possible, please do the measurements again and let's find out.

Cheap backlights for AGB-001 GBA? I don't wanna pay $45

He isn't really clear with his questions though. He starts by portraying himself as cheap (implying as if that's the reason to the question) but then asks for viable options to aliexpress or funnyplaying due to lack of trust which confuses the intention of the question 🤷🏽‍♂️

Trinity RGH fatal crash intercepted at boot

Have you tried bypassing dashlaunch settings by powering on the xbox and then pressing the eject after 1 sec? Or creating a blank "launch.ini" that you put in the root of a USB?

Game Boy Micro Not charging, I think it's the Diode, looking for help

That's tiny! 😅 Should've mentioned that the "SOD" number indicates the size of the package. SOD523 is smaller than SOD123. As can be seen in the table. https://electrical-information.com/package-types-sod/ It's a SOD123 witch means that it's minimum 3.5mm long from pin to pin as can be...

Game Boy Micro Not charging, I think it's the Diode, looking for help

Yes I had difficulties finding it too. The "1N5817W 1N5818W 1N5819W" should also be fine, the names are not specific diodes from a manufacturer but a standard set by the "JEDEC" (have been learning some stuff too) that indicates type of component and characteristics as can be seen in any...

Game Boy Micro Not charging, I think it's the Diode, looking for help

You found my pics :) Well done with the troubleshooting and detailed post👌 TLDR; Try the SSM5818SLGP it might solve your problem. You're correct, It seems like the diode is dead with those results you get on the multimeter. The "S3" code can be looked up if you search for "smd marking codes"...
