I don't understand it fully, does the current update has the pre-requisite that the line is already cut ? Or can it just be applied and work correctly on an un-cut r4i 3ds fully skipping the previous 6.0 patch and cutting?- Detonator

Hacking Upgrading an R4i 3DS to 6.0
Is there also a way to test that the signal line was cut properly, I have also done all the steps (wood, r4iGold firmware, r4iGold signal line). You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60
