Hacking Night of the Sacrifice English translation almost completed, needs programmers

Has anyone tried running the incomplete translation on a Wii with Riivolution, or on an emulator using Dolphiilution? How far along is it?

Hacking Night of the Sacrifice English translation almost completed, needs programmers

I get the feeling the reason why this project got so little attention is because it's a Riivolution patch, meaning it can't be applied to disc images. This patch only works with a physical copy of the game (currently selling on amazon for $90-$219!). Maybe this would gain more traction if it...

ROM Hack [RELEASED] Nanashi no Game: Me

Well, if anybody does want to translate them, these are the ones I'd really like to be able to read (or at least know what they're about).

ROM Hack [RELEASED] Nanashi no Game: Me

The new logo is fine, but I thought you would have remembered the one I did that more closely matched the logo made for the first translation project: Translating the EYE part didn't seem necessary, since the official translations treated it like a logo mark and left it alone: And...

ROM Hack [RELEASED] Nanashi no Game: Me

The textures I ripped were NSBTX/BTX0, and used on the surface of in-game models. I think there's a MarioKart editor that might be able to do something with them, but I don't know for sure. I'll post an album of everything I ripped that had text on it soon. A suggested localization for the...

ROM Hack [RELEASED] Nanashi no Game: Me

Amazing work, Nagato! I actually started ripping textures from this game with Tinke a few months back, but I wasn't sure where to go with that idea, since it appears to only be able to rip textures, but not re-insert them. Additionally, they appear to be compressed in some way, since every 4x4...

ROM Hack Game Center CX : Arino no Chosenjo 2 (New Start?)

I guess I'm a little confused... I looked up some stuff about Tinke, and it sounds like the latest versions are supposed to let you re-import from a mapped image export? Or did I not read it right, and it only lets you re-import pngs of the tileset? I'm not really sure if what I've built is...

ROM Hack Game Center CX : Arino no Chosenjo 2 (New Start?)

How are you getting the mapped image shown above? Is that out of an emulator or are you using a tool? Any chance there's some bit of data you can pull that describes the mapping that could be reverse-engineered into a simple java app to unmap edited images? edit: I got an idea; trying out an...

ROM Hack Game Center CX : Arino no Chosenjo 2 (New Start?)

I haven't done image maps before; my strong point is editing images within the constraints of art style, dimensions, limited color palettes, and matching different styles of hand-edited anti-aliasing. All I need is a palletized image format and a bit of text telling me what to change.

ROM Hack Game Center CX : Arino no Chosenjo 2 (New Start?)

Yeah, if there's a way I could help out with spot graphics work, let me know. Moving pixels around and imitating art styles is a hobby of mine, and it'd be cool to put that to use on a collaborative project like this!

Aww shoot, just now realized I screwed up the colors somehow. edit: I think the second one is closer.

ROM Hack Unofficial DeSmuME build: Unused memory finder tool

Seriously though, am I the only person who noticed what game is in that screenshot? Nagato was the lead hacker on the Nanashi no Game English translation patch, and that's a screenshot of the opening scene of that game's sequel, Nanashi no Game: Me (The Nameless Game: The EYE) with English...

Homebrew List of Homebrew Ports of Old Games

Oh wow, Wiimpathy ported Bermuda Syndrome to the Wii just like I was hoping somebody would! Thank you so much, Wiimpathy! This is awesome! :yaywii: http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Bermuda_Syndrome_Wii

Homebrew List of Homebrew Ports of Old Games

It would be cool if somebody ported the SDL Bermuda Syndrome engine recreation to the Wii. There have been ports to Amiga and Pandora, but more people would get to play it if it was ported to the largest homebrew install base.

    ROM Hack Nanashi no Game

Nagato posted his first breakthrough on July 15th. If the translation is published this weekend, the entire project will have been completed in exactly 13 weeks. Truly an auspicious date for the release! I'm sure the spirits will forgive you for not meeting the 7-week goal. ;)
