Homebrew [RELEASE] Tiramisu Environment | Free CBHC

Yes you are right, I might have phrased my question wrongly. Since the mocha module in tiramisu deliberately omits the sigpatches I thought this was intentional, in order to join efforts with some other dev providing the patches. Since there are not that many wii u developers nowadays, maybe...

Homebrew [RELEASE] Tiramisu Environment | Free CBHC

One last thing. Of all the modules, the key one (I would say): 01_sigpatches.rpx is the only one without source code (at least, I could not find it anywhere). I mean, we all trust your work and your are a very well recognized Wii U developer, but having such a module closed source (considering...

Homebrew [RELEASE] Tiramisu Environment | Free CBHC

As the guide specified, you also have to place the 01_sigpatches.rpx module in tiramisu's folder to enable patches.

Homebrew [RELEASE] Tiramisu Environment | Free CBHC

Thanks a lot @Maschell for your hard work! It is nice to see some love for the Wii U. If I might ask, why employing such a long/complicated chain of tools? (this is pure curiosity) From what I can see, the current setup does the following: 1.The Health & Safety app is injected with...

Homebrew RELEASE EmuMmcConfig - Atmosphere EmuMmc Configuration Tool

@pwsincd. Do you mind updating the HBAS entry?

Homebrew RELEASE EmuMmcConfig - Atmosphere EmuMmc Configuration Tool

Nevermind. I just forked it and fixed for new libnx and Atmosphere. Here is the compiled nro: https://github.com/KranKRival/EmuMmcConfig/files/6335427/EmuMmcConfig.nro.zip I made a pull request on your github repo, in case you want to merge the changes and upload the new nro. -EDIT- Please note...

Homebrew RELEASE EmuMmcConfig - Atmosphere EmuMmc Configuration Tool

Any chance to recompile it to support atmosphere 0.19.1?

Hacking RELEASE Latest FS and Acid Patches for Kosmos

So, it seems Hekate had a longstanding bug in applying kip1 (pkg2) patches, and this might have been one of the reasons why patches with Hekate always have been unstable/not always working...

Hacking Question Atmosphere 0.12 boot times through payloads

Hekate simply has a faster SDMMC driver than Atmosphere's

Hacking RELEASE Latest FS and Acid Patches for Kosmos

Adding loader.kip is not the right way of solving the issue. This will break after Atmosphere updates. The right thing to do is to fix the patches.ini for sysnand (or fix Hekate, if that's the issue).

Hacking RELEASE Team Neptune presents DeepSea. A new AiO CFW package, that continues where Kosmos left off.

I added a couple of modules to the DeepSea builder to support building deepsea with patches (both Hekate and fusee-primary) included (they are taken from HarukoNX's github). I submitted a pull request to the deepsea github repository, but they want to decide first what to do with patches. In the...

(mini rant) "Hardcore" gamers are too concerned about physical copies

The problem is that keeping DRM would imply that even if you could transfer/sell your game to someone else, this would still be bound the storefront/service you are using. So if it goes down, your right of trasnferring the game disappears immediately. It is the inability of "physically" coping a...

(mini rant) "Hardcore" gamers are too concerned about physical copies

I think here the issue over which people always discuss is not even physical vs digital. The real matter here is DRM. If digital was only DRM free, and *all* games were available digitally DRM free, most people in this thread would more easily converge to a consensus. DRM is the worst thing that...

Hacking RELEASE Latest FS and Acid Patches for Kosmos

I think a problem in using kips (regardless of Atmosphere support for that) is that Atmosphere might not boot properly if there are changes to the loader module in a new release, and loader.kip is not updated accordingly. With ips patches, we can decide to which "revision" of loader to apply...

Hacking RELEASE Latest FS and Acid Patches for Kosmos

The reason why they do it, is because it is the only way to have sysnand and emummc entries on boot. Chainloading fusee primary will always boot emummc, unless the emummc.ini is changed. Via fusee secondary, they can choose whether sysnand or emummc should be booted, and then give you some nice...

    Homebrew WIP PlatinumTree

The jar is missing the META-INF directory. Hence, the jar cannot be executed with java -jar. If the META-INF is provided, a NullPointerException is thrown in init of class Platform, because resource files are missing. You should check your build system.

Homebrew RELEASE EmuMmcConfig - Atmosphere EmuMmc Configuration Tool

I just checked. The problem is the way the new line is encoded in the ini file. If it is linux style (known as LF, which is one byte), the tool truncates what comes after "enabled", this because it assumes Windows style new line instead (known as CRLF, which is two bytes instead). If you want...

Homebrew RELEASE EmuMmcConfig - Atmosphere EmuMmc Configuration Tool

I believe your ini parser assumes CRLF as the new line in the file. I am not sure about that, but after adding some emtpy new lines between the different entries, it started working.

Homebrew RELEASE EmuMmcConfig - Atmosphere EmuMmc Configuration Tool

This is exactly how my ini looks like. Other emummc togglers have no issue.

Homebrew RELEASE EmuMmcConfig - Atmosphere EmuMmc Configuration Tool

It has various bugs. It truncates the "sector" entry of the ini file, damaging it. This happens also if enabled is at the bottom of the ini, "far away" from the "sector" entry, If the ini is in UTF8 with BOM, the parser does not read the ini file properly.
