Gaming Save States/RTC

Gaming My DVD drive will read/play dvds, But not blank DVDS?
So my laptop has a Windows Vista 32bit...... with this driver: Sony CDRWDVD CRX880A ATA Device I am able to read/play/burn CD's I am able to read/play DVD's But i tryed 2 sets Blank DVD's and my drive will not recognize them.
