    Kid Icarus: Uprising Tournament

Seeing as the games are now 1v1, should it still be light v dark, or are we going free-for-all?

    Kid Icarus: Uprising Tournament

Umpa 5284-1568-8626 CEST (GMT+1 DST) I don't mind, but I've noticed considerable lag with people too far away..

Smash Bros Wii U may not feature more characters

I think it'd be awesome to have the guy from Pushmo (or even Dillon) in there (and maybe some Freakyforms as support items for the heck of it) Chubby sumo wrestler/puzzle solver ftw

    Hacking 3DS eShop QR Codes

This thread seems to assume that there IS a download page for the ambassador titles. Remember, the ambassador games were downloaded through a hacky 'you have already downloaded these titles' way, not an actual download page like for the 'real' eshop titles.

    Homebrew -REQUEST- Jazz Jackrabbit

Any progress on this? I'd love to see JJ on DS. If not, I would probably want to do this myself. Though looking at the sprites for Jazz the dimensions are way off what would be practical for textures and sprites, I'm not quite sure how to best handle this.

Gaming are you going to miss the ds?

I think the DS is a great device to homebrew on, so as long as the batteries are operational I'll be brewing :D

    Homebrew DSLiero (DS Entry)

Update! Please see first post for changes. Note that I removed the required registration from the website, so now anyone can upload their files without problems. Hopefully this will stimulate the user content some. A small note on the 'laser' type weapons: I'm not sure how exactly these...

    Hardware Official 3DS Technical Discussion

The 3DS has two types of AA: 2x horizontal AA and 4x AA, which the developer can choose to turn on or off. The Pokedex app uses the first, for example. If the game doesn't have AA, that can only mean that it uses too many resources as it is. You should realize that when using full AA in 3D mode...

    GBAtemp Arcade Competition #2

Can't get past level 7 for now. I like this kind of game, used to have it on this Pac-Man Game&Watch kind of thing. Good luck everyone!

Gaming Why do 3DS games all have a code on the back?

I'm guessing the first letter is region, 2nd and 3rd are game identifiers. No idea what the rest is :(

    GBAtemp Arcade Competition #1

I'm glad I could be of some help :) Congrats to everyone playing, it's been a lot of fun competing with you in this game. If it weren't for you, I probably wouldn't have wasted so much time on this little game :P I'm still not sure how I ended so high up in a gaming competition, but I'm not...

    Megaupload taken down

I always saw MegaUpload as one of the more trustworthy and dependable file-sharing websites. Sad to see it go :( Still weird to see how people seriously think they actually lose so much money in profits from piracy..

    Gaming Mario Kart 7 Frustration

I can understand how everyone knows how to use the glitch, it's fair. But what if you just want to race the full track for the experience? Skipping half of the track means missing out on half a track's worth of fun. Compare it to an fps where everyone can shoot, look and walk through walls and...

Gaming Resident Evil Revelations Demo is out NOW

Yeah, I quite liked it, actually, it's nice. I wonder why it's only for Cooking Mama though. Haven't checked much else, but I'm fairly sure they all still used the static horizontal scrolling rather than CM's pretty circular system

Homebrew Fonts compatible with devkitarm (or how to make them!) (libnds)

Yes, using a tiled bg may be easier, but much less flexible. My text system uses identical font images (or tilesets), it just uses the 3D engine to render them to the screen, and it allows for non-fixed width text, custom colors, etc. Anyway, I just figured I'd give another alternative to...

Homebrew Change size of 32x32 Sprite?

If you wish to use the 3D engine, take a look at relminator's Easy GL2D lib (http://forum.gbadev.org/viewtopic.php?t=17417). It's easy enough to use, very tiny and allows you to do a ton of things with sprites. It also comes with examples.

Homebrew Fonts compatible with devkitarm (or how to make them!) (libnds)

Another option is to use the 3D engine to display text. I made a little program that takes a font pcx file, and adds a header in front of it containing letter sizes. Then I just use the 3D engine to draw quads with the proper uv coordinates. Works like a charm! And without too much extra work...

    Homebrew Debugging

You could also use the console to print info to the screen. It's very limited, but it'll get you some more info on specific variables. My game framework contains, among other debugging functions, simple logging options that can be accessed at any time while playing, and automatically gets saved...

Thought I'd try to get the top 5 all on my name for funsies, but it seems to be more trouble than it's worth :(
