I have a Wii on very ooooold firmware. I want to update it so I can play a few newer games. I think my last time I needed an update was... before No More Heroes 2 so It was the update that first supported those games... not so sure. I can double check, but yeah.
I want to update so I can play...
Okay... I got the d2prog menu and all
and I started to work everything in.
But, I keep getting a verify error.
It erased and flashed something... then it stopped at verify and told me there was an error.
And I know the update didn't work, because eject error wasn't fixed.
And the chips data...

I'm at a loss.
Everything is plugged in, but the readme makes no sense to me.
Where do the drivers go, and what the hell do I do next? The updater flashes a window for a split second and nothing happens.

Claw, no. You're wrong.
I seriously need this cable.
I have no idea what I'm looking for. All I was told was a flat cable was needed to connect the programmer to the chip. It's solders on? Hell if I know. That sucks for me...
Ribbon cable... is that what it's called?
If so, do I need a...
Ok, so... I installed a D2Pro into my Wii.
It works. Sweet.
Now, I have a D2Prog, so I may upgrade firmware and get rid of these eject errors. > >
I need a flat cable to connect the two!
I got none with the D2Pro nor the programmer.
Radioshack was like - whaaa?
Please... where can I get...
Wow. That's shit.....
So, is it official?
Am I actually going to NEED to update this thing in order to actually play games? Because... geometry wars is the only game I tried, and it didn't work. I burned it twice, and neither copy works.
No no. I just used that because it was a small file and it burned quickly.
That was just to confirm that the chip was working.
I downloaded the firmware, but it's... strange. There's a driver and an exe. How do I upgrade? Like, I don't know the process of how I do that.
So, I recently soldered my chip to my clip and put it into my system. Sadly, I don't think I am up to date. My friend sent me a file to burn to test the system. It was the wiikey setup disc, and I burned it. The disc worked. But, it didn't fully run, I get the disc error from my wii. But...
I've been playing fallout4 all day, I went into a elevator and it kept going, never stopped, waited 5 minutes, must of been a bug. How bout you, whatcha do today?
