Hacking hard reset needed after pal game!
Thanks linuxares, I've finally got down to patiently get a thorough check on the problem. i've installed cios38 rev17 to ios249 and hermes ios222 (ios38+ios37) & ios223 (ios38+ios60). if i launched cfg usb loader through the wii menu, i always get the black screen after exiting a pal game...- syserror

thanks for the replies i've installed priiloader and changed the settings as mentioned but still does not return to wii menu. however, i tried using the following : cfgusbloader & wiiflow->still not returning (black screen on game exit, like usb loader gx), uloader->works! returns to wii menu...- syserror

Hi all, I have tried to google for a solution but can't find any... I have a jap wii with usb loader gx installed and can play most of the games. The only issue is that i cannot go back to the wii menu from any pal games, hope to hear if there's anyone who shares the same problem and has found...- syserror

oh, i forgot, dCiSo, thank you so much for ur input, i'm just wondering, if u left ur wii on after u've unbricked the consoles screwed by mario kart, would it still update the firmware to 3.2?- syserror

hmmm... i suppose there is a certain amount of risk involved, i'm unsure of what i'm saying is correct, but let's say patch the 3.1v3 to 3.1v4, and pray that nintendo does an firmware update jumping to 3.2. then, if the next firmware is indeed 3.1v4, we would have to do another patch to force...- syserror

yea, i'm outta luck here too, bricked my jap wii with okami, tried to unbrick with mario kart but the update didn't show. we really need an app that forces the update onto wii... anyone have an idea when's the next nintendo party game that's going to be released? i'm awaiting for that newer...- syserror

alright, i'm another fool here, bricked my wii exactly the same way like this thread owner... i'm trying to get mario kart, did u try it? just trying my luck... awww, i wish someone could get the dump of 3.2J and pack into game with WUM....- syserror

Hacking okami bricked my jap-wii
i've semi-bricked my wii, after running okami which has a firmware of 3.1U_v3... now i'm not sure if i can unbrick it with mario kart which has a firmware upgrade of 3.1J_v3... anyone has any info on that? i'm hoping that some genius can come up with an app that overrides the firmware version...- syserror
