Hacking UDPIH: USB Host Stack exploit + Recovery Menu

Never mind, it's just a convenience thing :)

Hacking UDPIH: USB Host Stack exploit + Recovery Menu

Of course, but would love to be able to just insert a fresh SD card with only the recovery menu binary and dump the NAND, keeping it all separated from the regular SD card :)

Hacking UDPIH: USB Host Stack exploit + Recovery Menu

Wonderful to see the old Wii U still is getting some love. Ordered a Pi Pico just to try this out :D If I could wish for a feature, it would be NAND dumping (writing is not possible, right?) from the recovery menu. Would be incredibly handy paired with an easy to use exploit like this :)

    Gaming Wii U USB Y-Cable

The short answer is don't. While it might work, it's never a good idea to connect two active power sources directly together, unless they're specifically made for it. There's some circuitry needed to protect against reverse currents etc, which you don't know if the console or PSU have or not.

    Wii U broken fuse

If you're going to use a surface mount fuse, there's no point at all in doing it, but found a youtube video showing how to do it with a fiberglass brush :)

    Wii U broken fuse

Well, if you're gonna use the original surface mount fuse, never mind. The copper traces are covered with varnish, meant that you could remove some of it next to the solder pad and get a stronger solder joint if you were using a through hole fuse. And yes, that will probably work perfectly...

    Wii U broken fuse

Yep, that's very fixable. Hardest part is probably to figure out the properties of the original fuse :) I would use the smallest axial through hole fuse possible with correct value/characteristics, it's an easy form factor to work with when doing this kind of repairs. Desolder whatever is left...

Homebrew Homebrew app Bloopair: Connect Controllers from other Consoles natively

Returned to the thread to comment that it works perfectly with the SN30+, and ask if there was any chance of getting Dualshock3 support. Almost scary :D

Homebrew Homebrew app Bloopair: Connect Controllers from other Consoles natively

Oh, this is awesome! Can't wait to get back home and try this with my 8bitdo SN30 pro+ :)

Hardware Activating flight mode by editing configuration directly

Starting with a summary of what's happened, might be useful to others with the same problem. So, my Switch crashed the other day when put in sleep mode. It would hang indefinitely on the Nintendo Switch boot logo when trying to boot Atmosphere or OFW afterwards. Found and checked the Atmosphere...

Nintendo officially reveals the OLED model Nintendo Switch console

Perhaps a bit disappointing to some, but I much rather want this than something with beefed up specs, that would render the original Switch obsolete, once the devs got lazy and upped the requirements instead of making the games run well on the old console :)

Homebrew How should I go about installing CFW? (1.0.0 Switch)

Hacked my 1.0.0 switch a year or so ago, using the fusee-gelee method described at https://switch.homebrew.guide/. If I remember it right, the only problem I ran into was that the then current version of ChoiDujourNX wouldn't work on 1.0.0. Had to use an older version of CDN (1.1.0 I believe)...

Hardware Fix motherboard for xbox360 E slim... By damaged destroyed line tracs

I would simply clean it up, remove any loose traces, jumper the traces using uninsulated strands from a wire, and insulate/fix the jumpers with PCB varnish afterwards. Nail polish will do the trick aswell. If you want to try gluing down the ripped traces, use epoxy, it'll survive the heat when...

A not so remembered game that means a lot to you.

Azrael's Tear Releasing almost at the same time as Quake was probably not the most strategic decision. The controls are quite cumbersome, and it might be the last game ever to be CPU speed sensitive. Generally, that's a thing of the 386 era and earlier. If one can live with that however, few...

PS1/2 PS2 Wont read internal HDD anymore... I've tried EVERYTHING

Right, that's probably where it went wrong then :) See zfreeman's post. To take a number out of thin air, 99% chance that's why your new HDD won't initialize. Those fuses probably need replacement. Not as sure of the fuse PCB designations as zfreeman, might differ between models, but there's...

PS1/2 PS2 Wont read internal HDD anymore... I've tried EVERYTHING

Sounds very strange. Just double checking, you never connected the original drive to the PS2 after it blew, right? Would start by making sure that the connectors are ok and makes proper contact. Common problem with that kind of China stuff, build quality and fit isn't always the best...

    Hacking 4TB HD with Wii

Would definitely pick up the 500GB drive if I were you. As you already figured out, 500GB is more than enough for everything worth playing on the Wii. If you think it's too expensive, you'd probably be fine with a smaller one too, would guess the games average at 4-5 GB in size or something like...

    Hacking xbox 360 rgh fan

Yep, it's generally recommended to manipulate fan settings from Dashlaunch if you have to do it. Doing it from the dashboard can be risky, Aurora even left out the option for that particular reason.
