Hi Tanja, note that I did not use the old chassis. I attempted a rust-eating solution on the chassis, which stripped ALL the shiny metal dip off it. it created a nasty tarnished metal which I did not use as I had a dead PS4 to use for parts. Rusty PS4!
The white PS4 I bought turned out to be a lemon with BLOD. I was able to get it working using the chassis of another PS4, and by using extra washers under the APU heatsink mounts to squeeze the APU tighter against the motherboard. My first working PS4? with issues
I just bought a white 500G PS4 for $120 AU. It apparently has a "faulty B-R drive". It comes with a controller which has "faulty ports." It's coming with 8 games, some of which are decent . The rantings of a madman - concept 1
Has anyone made a USB break-out cable from the back of an SD-card? My thought is that perhaps the data going to an SD card slot pins, could be used to read/write to a hard drive. This would no doubt require an Arduino interface between the SD and for example USB external HD. I'm debating with...- brickmaker
