Hardware PSP vs PS Vita Battery Degrade?

Sorry if this is a basic question. I'm thinking about buying a PS Vita (probably slim, because I have sensitive wrists). The reason I'm interested is because I just can't seem to get the PSP battery to live very long. I had an OG battery which didn't work again after years of not being used...

    Why do people fan translate?

I get doing it for language practise, but from everything I know about video games, there are much easier media to translate if you're a translator on your own, so why? I kinda feel like it'd just be boring to work on the same game for X number of years like many projects tend to be, and they...

    Gbatemp Group NY Resolution?

Hey group peoples! As someone who has not studied enough this past year, I was thinking maybe it'd be cool if we set a new years resolution as a group to work on Japanese together. E.g. we could share weekly Anki stats, or post a diary entry in Japanese, or even have a bookclub or something...

    Game-Related Resources

I thought I'd make a little post about some great Japanese learning resources based around games that I know of: General Articles/Lists: GAMING TO LEARN JAPANESE - By Tofugu Games for Learning Japanese List on Steam - A collection of steam games the curators think are good. Some are simply...

My favourite self-study website for Grammar - Bunpro

There's a lot of websites/apps out there which can help you with memorizing words and kanji, but hardly any for grammar! What I like about Bunpro is that it's an SRS, (Spaced Repetition System), like Anki and Wanikani (made by the same people). It functions as both a textbook where you can...

Gaming Emulator Help with Majo ni Naru Emulation Bug?

Hello! I'm trying to play 3852 - Majo ni Naru (Japan) because it seems like such a cute game and good for Japanese practise, but I've been having trouble with it. There is a bad dump of the game out there, but this seems unrelated (the issues also exist in the English version, 4980 - Witch's...

Tutorial How to translate Japanese games without speaking a word!

Note: Read before commenting!! Yes, this is a machine translation method. No you cannot just put a script into Google Translate and make a patch from it, unless you want everyone to hate you. This is a method to use a combination of tools to create as good as a translation as possible, without...

If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
